NIce set of knives. Each knife is balanced really well. Fit and finish is pretty good. I don't notice any machine marks that are out of place. Bolsters are nice. Handles are nice but I would like to see some kind of finishing on the wood. Handles also have some odd flat sides on them. Not sure why they would do this. Lack of finish on the wood handles is my biggest gripe about this set. The little pairing knife is of a perfect size. The cleaver is small for a cleaver but it is not bad. Also kind of odd that the steel type isn't listed anywhere. Some people really care about steel type. That makes it look like it is very crappy steel but I don't know. At $48 I'm not sure I can recommend this set. If steel type was listed and it was of something decent then I would definitely recommend it.

These things are gorgeous. Look great, feel great in hand. Not too heavy, but not too light either. I enjoy using them a lot. They're not as sharp as anticipated, but definitely sharper than the hand me downs I've been stuck using for years.
