Worked great for me - crinkles just taste better.
First, I think I've been using the worst potato peelers ever all my life because this was a huge step up for me. It made quick work of a few potatoes. It's much wider than what I am used to, though, so I had to be careful not to clip my fingers as I went. I found it sharp enough and very easy to use.The crinkle cutter is a game-changer for me. It is awesome and slides through the potatoes very easily. The motion itself, pushing down with a firm grasp of the handle rather than using leverage with a knife probably makes a big difference, but it is very nice. There were a few times when I had to really make sure I got through the whole potato, but I was also using a plate instead of a cutting board.I'm not much of a chef, obviously, so I may be more easily impressed than those who already have better kitchen tools. The cutter and peeler both worked well for me, though, and I think the price is very reasonable for the set.

Good set for the price, but the peeler could be better
This set is a great value and a fun addition to my kitchen gadgets. I bought it primarily for making homemade crinkle-cut sweet potato fries and waffle cuts for veggie trays, and it works well for those purposes. We do homemade fries a lot in bbq season so this will be very handy when summer comes around.Pros:Fun Results: The crinkle cutter produces satisfying, professional-looking cuts. It's very easy for anyone to use.Sturdy Cutters: The stainless steel cutters themselves feel solid and are very sharp. They slice through potatoes and other firm veggies with ease.Easy to Clean: The simple design makes them easy to wash by hand or toss in the dishwasher.Cons:Included Peeler is Just Okay: The bonus peeler is a nice thought, but it's pretty basic and not as sharp or ergonomic as my existing peeler, so I doubt I'll switch to using it.Learning Curve for Waffle Cuts: Making actual, consistent waffle fries takes a little practice to get the angle right on the second pass.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. The main tool is great and something that I've been needed for a while now. The peeler isn't the best, but the cutter alone make it worth the four stars.

Nice and sturdy, worked well for slicing up potatoes for SuperBowl Sunday.
This cutter worked really well. We used it to cut up some potatoes this weekend for the Superbowl and it did a really nice job. It's not the sharpest tool, but it's easy to get enough leverage where that doesn't matter at all. The unit it very sturdy and it definitely doesn't feel flimsy or like it's going to bend at all. It is a little difficult getting the slices even, but that's what you're going to get with a free hand tool. You would need a guide to make that any better. Otherwise it's a win in my book.

Fun veggie shapes!
It's always nice to have an extra vegetable peeler around, which was my original intent with this set. That works just as it should and will make a great backup. The crinkle cutter is another fun tool I'll use often, and not just for fries! It's large enough to cut any sort of veggie into a cute shape - carrots, cukes, all sorts of things! The handle is decently made; it's plastic so I probably won't put it in the dishwasher as that tends to overdry plastic & make it brittle. It is on the large side so you'll probably want to have a flat space to store it.For an advertised price of under $9, and with 2 pieces, it's a great deal.NOTE: I occasionally review items based on my impressions after an initial use; all reviews are subject to later update based on any subsequent significant changes/differences. Although I'm expected to create well-written and informative reviews, I am *not* compensated for "good reviews": if it sucks, it sucks and I'll tell you it sucks.

There is a gap under the blade, so it often does not cut all the way threw veggies.
There is a design/manufacturing flaw with my Crinkle Cutter, there is a small gap under the blade so it often does not cut all the way threw the veggies. Another user review mentioned this flaw, and there is an additional review with a video that seems to show some of this issue as well. You can still use the cutter, just some of the time you have to break the last bit of skin/veggie after. It's annoying to say the least. It could possibly be design feature to keep the blade sharp??? I cant say for sure as this is my first cutter of this kind.Aside from that defect/feature, this is a good set. The Crinkle Cutter is pretty well built for the price and the handle is comfortable enough for home use. I dont know if I would want to use this for hours on end at a restaurant though. The peeler works too, but the plastic feels cheap in the hand. It seems to be the same plastic as on the Crinkle Cutter, but it does not have the metal components to give it a more weighty feel. These are solid kitchen tools if you can get past not cutting all the way threw your vegetables every single time.

crinkle cutter and peeler
I didn’t expect to enjoy a crinkle cutter this much, but this set genuinely surprised me. The stainless steel blade feels solid and sharp, making quick work of potatoes, zucchini, and even firmer veggies without bending or snagging. The crinkle cuts come out clean and uniform, which instantly makes homemade fries look restaurant-worthy, especially waffle fries, which are usually tricky to get right. What really stood out is the comfort and control. The handle gives a good grip, and the included peeler is sharp and smooth, so prep feels fast instead of tedious. Cleanup is easy, and the tool still looks new after repeated use. If you like cooking at home and want simple tools that actually elevate presentation and fun in the kitchen, this crinkle cutter set is a small upgrade that delivers big satisfaction.
