Perfect glass tea kettle!
I searched quite a bit for a temperature controlled electric tea kettle without contact with plastic, and stumbled upon this one. So glad I did! I’ve never heard of the brand before, but went by the reviews. It lives up to the hype. It’s made of a high quality, durable glass, and the spout is made of stainless steel. It looks so nice on my countertop too. The lid is lined with stainless steel. There are two lids—one that that has the tea infuser attached, and one that is just the lid itself. I’ve just been using the standard lid without infuser. It’s very easy to use—you can increase or decrease the temperature to specified setting depending on your preference (for example, 176 F for green tea, 194 F for coffee, or 212 F boiling.), and there are several temperature settings. It can also be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Once I turn on, I increase the temperature to my desired setting, then the kettle works automatically to heat the water and beeps when done. It’s really cool to see the water boiling and it also has color coded lights that change at certain temperatures (from green when cool, to blue, to pink/purple, to red near boiling and boiling point.) The temperature control also shows the temperature at all times while in use, and the kettle has an automatic shut-off feature. It works exactly as described, looks sleek, and is decent quality. The opening is wide, so refilling and washing are easy. The only thing is that the lid needs to be removed by hand to refill or wash the kettle, rather than have a button to push, but it’s a minor issue for such a great product. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Boild water fast. Hot lid and you need to take it off manually
Boils water fast, i like the color of its lights changing. You can monitor and set the temperature. The only drawback is that the glass body and the lid get very hot and you should be cautious not to touch them accidentally. It has auto shut off like any electric kettle.

Good water boiler but didn’t last.
Update: the Cuckoo died on Dec 2, 6 months after ordering. We gave it a workout, boiling a pot of water at least 10 times a day. The lights come on, the temperature setting looks like it’s working, the colored light comes on like it’s heating, but it doesn’t warm up. Reset the plug, played with the buttons—not much else you can do. It’s got power, just doesn’t work.This is our third electric tea kettle in 9 years after using one in an Irish hotel where we loved it. The first one we bought lasted 7 years; the second lasted 2 years; now we’re into this Cuckoo for a month. It seems like a quality appliance but it is the costliest. The previous ones were simple pots that only boiled and automatically shut off. The Cuckoo has variable preset temperature settings with auto shut off and 3 beeps to let you know it’s finished. Others that we considered had individual buttons for each temperature but the Cuckoo has up and down buttons to select the temp — some may prefer the individual buttons. I chose the Cuckoo because its handle shape keeps my hand down and away from the steam — our last one allowed your hand to ride up to the top and cook your hand. We’ve never bothered with the tea making features so I have no comment on its effectiveness. It’s not double-walled like some others but we don’t have little kids reaching up and touching it. The Cuckoo has a removable top for filling while our previous models were flip-ups. Capacity, boiling speed, and noise are all acceptable.

Best tea brewer. Best.
Best teapot I've ever owned and I've had several. This is why. It makes more tea than any I've had before.I can check on the heating cycle by glancing over at it to check the color of the lights. I then have an idea when it will be time to drop the tea into the water. When it is time, it alarms to tell you it's reached the temperature that you've set.When you take the tea out it has a regular lid to replace the tea apparatus. And finally, it will keep the tea warm to whatever temperature you set. So, easy to use, boil speed is 5 minutes. Some noise but that helps you know without looking what's going on. I love this teapot. I have no idea how durable it is. I've only had it 2 months. But I hope theykeep making it.

A Very Handy Glass Tea Kettle
This is the best teapot I have ever owned. You can program it to heat your water to any temperature according to the specific needs of the tea you are going to be brewing. The colors that appear in the bottom of the kettle correspond to the temperatures of the water being heated. There is a hady keep=warm feature and a brew basket that can be lowered into the water if you use loose tea. The unit is easily cleaned and heats the water FAST. I highly recommend.
