They are perfect. The size is just right. The straws are sturdy enough that my disabled son wont bite and bend them. Easy to clean and open. Extremely happy with products and price ! Wi definitely buy more.
***Update 7/22/2015*** I've had these cups going on a year now and they are still in the condition that I purchased. As I have noted in my review, I have always hand washed these. Never a dishwasher as they will heat the adhesive and they'll eventually degrade. The cups are awesome and I will be ordering more soon!**Original Review from September 2014**I purchased 3 sets of these in different colors after several untimely mishaps with my other insulated cups. I was nervous because it is difficult to find a quality product and while most of the reviews were positive there were a few reviews about quality and lifespan of the product. I have had mine for a few days and I am more than pleased with the size and appearance as well as the quality of this product. There are other retailers that sell this exact cup for a higher price and there are other retailers that sell this 'type' of cup with less quality.Upon receiving the cups I inspected them very carefully. They came packaged nicely and securely in a foam wrap without any detectable visual defect. All the lids fit securely. I should note that the lids do screw on and have a rubber seal that effectively prevents liquid from escaping. The plastic seems to be good quality and durable and the vacuum seal between layers has remained intact after hand washing the items.Tip: On this cup, as with any plastic double layer tumbler, you should ONLY hand wash them to improve lifespan and keep the lids from reaching a point of uselessness. High temp dishwashers will wear down the adhesive between layers and ruin the ability to use lids.Summary:PROS: Product is very good quality, lids work well and screw on and I believe will stay this way if hand washed as directed. Size is 24 ounces if filled to the top as I verified with 24 ounces from a measuring cup.CONS: Though for me this is not at all any sort of con or draw back but I'll mention it.. The cup when filled with ice and my favorite tea produced a very very light sweat. Like a thin fog graced the cup but did not leave so much as a spec of moisture on the surface of my desk and also disappeared after minutes.
The glasses are good in every way except that they crack fairly easily. I bought six a month ago and to have cracked. That said it was only the outside that cracked so I can still use them.
These are really nice hard plastic cups. They are insulated so your cold beverage doesn't sweat on the outside. I use them to keep water at my desk. The straw is a hard plastic as well and I suppose if given to children they could bite it and break it. Because of that, this is just more suitable for adults to use. If I break these two like I did the last two, I'll be back to buy two more!
Good cups
I've used these cups for a few years now, and I've always liked them for the way they keep my ice-water cold for hours and hours. Often, I'll have ice left after 4 hours, and will need to add more water. I'm a computer tech, and have occasionally tipped the cup over near my keyboard (horrified!), but I've never had more than a drop come out. Plus, these cups have a nice, clean appearance to them, they look good on my bench as I work.Those are the Pros.The Con -- and it's a big one -- these cups are BRITTLE. Good thing they come in a two-pack, because I always break one within a month or two. I think I've bought these 3 times over 2 years, and the longest I've kept one in use has been about 7 or 8 months. It doesn't take much, because there is no handle, so you have to hold it awkwardly, by the bottom or by the lid. So all it takes is to bump the tip of the straw against something, the cup flies from my fingertips, lands on the concrete floor where I work., and there is always a casualty. Sometimes only the lid will crack. Sometimes the inside wall of the cup will break loose from the outside. Sometimes both will happen at once. I'd taken to keeping the unbroken elements in my cupboard at home, and using them as "spare parts" when some new breakage occurred. This last time I ordered a pair of the cups, the first one lasted all of a week before it slipped from my hand, smacked the floor, and broke all over, nothing usable but the straw. I pulled out the second one, and it already had a large crack in the outside wall, but since that doesn't affect its usability, I'm still keeping it in play. But I think this is the last time I'm buying these cups. I'm going to find something made of a tougher polymer... and with a handle!
