> ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This anodized aluminum sponge cake pan is amazing! I used it to make a panetela, and it turned out absolutely delicious. The cake baked evenly, with a beautiful, uniform color, and it cooked perfectly all the way to the center. The pan distributes heat very well and delivers excellent results. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
These 6-inch cake pans are impressively well made for the price. They are better than ones I've used in professional kitchens. Treated right, they should last for years. The metal is finished nicely, no warping, rough spots, or bowing anywhere. They wash up easily.The high walls of the pans are what attracted me as I initially wanted these to use for a holiday bread recipe that requires round pans. I'm sure they'll do great for that, but I tested with a simple yellow cake. These might be some of the best cake pans I've ever owned, and I'm considering buying them in other sizes.The only downside to these pans is that they do not nest, so they will take up space equal to each pans's hight if stacked. I knew that before I clocked "add to cart," so I'm not going to downgrade my rating for it; however, it is something for others with limited cabinet space to consider.
These cake pans are extraordinarily heavy duty. At 10” in diameter and 3” deep, I hardly have to worry about overfilling them. These pans allow me to make a taller cake with fewer pans. Be aware that, like with many cake pans, they are slightly graduated, with the bottom of the cake pan measuring about ½” less than the top.I have found these pans to be non-stick, at least on the sides, as I use parchment rounds in the bottom. The description indicates these are dishwasher safe, but they feel so sleek I have only hand washed them so far. They come clean so quickly and easily, putting them in the dishwasher seems like a waste of resources.As an extra bonus, this set comes with a silicone pastry brush and scraper. These pans are quite substantial and can be used for cakes or pan pizza as well.
Not coated, so use cooking spray. Don’t stack well for storage. Used to make a multi-layer cake, and all three pans turned out wonderfully.
So these are taller than the name brand tins I have which is cool because I can create a decent sized small cake without layers using just one tin. I baked in these a couple days ago and used baking strips around them to prevent doming. They worked well and baked evenly. They did stick some in spite of spraying and flouring. But they cleaned up easily. I would not recommend a dishwasher with this material as I’ve made that mistake in the past. It can ruin the pan.
