Some of you will be surprised, but I use these to sterilize dirt in my extra microwave for house plants. I hate bugs in the house. They are the right size to fit, they are sturdy in holding dirt, and can be microwaved quite a few minutes for the dirt to reach 200F. After I am done microwaving, I let the dirt cool and the cover goes on and is a nice tight fit. I also love the handles on either side of the container for grabbing it without burning my hands. Definitely a plus. They are a bit expensive, but they work great!
