Adorable mushroom egg cups
Mushrooms are such a weakness of mine. Although I don't tend to eat soft-boiled eggs in the way that you would typically use an egg cup like this for, I simply couldn't pass up the adorable design. I might use a little cup area as a sauce dish if I'm feeling fancy, but they also work perfectly well as decor items, with the added benefit of having the cups available whenever you want them.The design of the mushrooms is quite chunky. They stand completely stable, on either the stem or the cap end. They also look good at every angle, so no orientation looks like it's the wrong way.The egg cup comfortably holds a large egg, and would likely accommodate an extra large size. The cap has a depression in the center, so you could place a small item on it.The body of the mushrooms is made of ceramic, with a matte/eggshell finished glaze. They were cast in such a way that the inside is hollow, so they are not quite as heavy as if they were completely solid. There is a tiny hole on the side of each one, which I suppose is a product of the manufacturing process, but you do have to take care when washing these that water does not get into the hole, or it will take forever to dry.The casting and paint work looks very nice for the most part. I especially like that the ring around the stem is highlighted. The red color of the caps is on the more muted side, I do wish it was more saturated. I also noticed that one of the mushroom caps does have a few glitches, where it looks like the white glazing of the spots has traveled over onto the red cap.Despite the small nitpicks about the finish, I really do love these little mushroom egg cups.

Adorable large egg cups that double as decor
These egg cups are adorable! When I first opened them, they were much larger than I expected them to be. Most egg cups I have seen are pretty petite. These mushrooms have large, thick stems that make them feel sturdy and strong. The paint and finish didn't look cheap or haphazard. Because of their size, I expected the egg to get lost or wobble in the well of the upturned mushroom, but a large fresh egg fit perfectly in it. I rarely actually use egg cups to eat soft boiled eggs, and I don't have space to have a lot of single-purpose items, so I was delighted to find that these look right at home on a table as pure decor. They go really well with some of my other mushroom-themed candles, lights, tablecloths, and placemats. I will enjoy using them that way. I can also see using them for condiments. In fact, I like them so much that I became curious about this seller's other items, and it turns out that there is a whole line of mushroom-themed tableware. Super adorable. I know what's going on my wish list!

Adorable egg cups that also double as decorative pieces
So I don't really know about their use as an egg cup, but they do make absolutely adorable decorations for a mushroom lovers shelf/desk.They're really well crafted and the colors are nicely done. They've got a decent weight to them too which was surprising to me compared to normal products.My wife absolutely adores these and if she ever needed to eat some hard-boiled eggs, I'm sure these would be the only thing she'd eat them out of.
