We have a very nice set that is older, but there are just 4 of them and that doesn't work when more than 4 people are over for a nice steak dinner. Looking at the well reviewed high end knives, I almost pulled the trigger to get them, but I just could not make my brain agree with spending $400+ on 8 steak knives, no matter how nice they were. So I kept researching and found these German steel CutLuxe knives. At less than $150 for 8 knives, and with the German steel and a lot of very good reviews, I made the purchase.So far so good! We have used them once with guests when grilling some thick NY Strip steaks. First of all, the CutLuxe steak knives are attractive and closely match the knives used in our kitchen. Second, they are solidly heavy and have the feel of a quality steakhouse steak knife. Last, but not least, they have an excellent straight edge and just glide through the steaks. All the guests made great comments about how easily the knives cut through the steaks.They were also attractively boxed and it is nice to be able to hand wash them, immediately dry them, and put them back in their box for storage until the next steak dinner is on the menu. The straight edge on these knives is very sharp and appear like they will be easy to sharpen in the future.Highly recommend so far!

Sharp and balanced

These knives are really sharp and nice looking. Cutting up things is really easy. My hand doesn’t get fatigued. I hand wash them right after every use and dry them then let them sit on the drying rack overnight to make sure they are fully dried before putting them away. I do wish they came with a better sleeve to put them in when they are in my drawer.

Sharpened to perfection

These are not the first knives I have purchased from this company. I am a repeat customer because once these knives get sharpened, they stay sharp. The quality shows in the way the knife is made. They have great balance and feel good in the hand. I hand wash these because dishwasher detergent is not good for knives in general. I proudly display them on a magnetic strip.
