I have been desperately searching for the hemstitch linens that I know from my childhood; however, I was unable to find them. I kept finding items with uneven corners that simply don't measure up. These are quality. The corners are squared and stay that way. They are beautifully crafted and they come in the variety of colors that I need. I was also pleased to discover they are not thin. I can't see through them like other, lesser brands. Spend a little more, you will be happy you did! Buy with confidence.
This is a review for the green placemats. Amazon groups unrelated reviews together, so make sure you’re looking at a review for the product you’re actually looking for.I find the placemats not worth the price. They have a very nice color, but they are really, really thin. It will likely be easy to puncture or ruin with a stain.They are washable, so long as you are careful. I recommend air drying them if needed. You won’t get many washings out of these before they’re no good any more.The placemats wrinkle very easily. They ship folded up and tied, so you’ll have two creases in each of the four mats and you’ll want to iron them before first use. If they shipped flat you wouldn’t need to do that.In addition, the placemats have a large white tag woven into the bottom that isn’t designed to be removed, so if the end flips up or wrinkles, you’ll see the tag. It is a shame. I wish you could easily remove the tag completely.The placemats provide almost no heat or spill protection. This is because the fabric is very thin and there are holes in a rectangular pattern in each mat.They’re positioned as “everyday luxury” and I think they’re a bit too thin to really qualify.
I put them in the washer and ruined it. Other than than they do feel thin.
I purchased to add color to my dinner table. They showed up looking great. These were going onto my dinner table - I wanted to make sure they were freshly clean. Big Mistake. They came out of the dryer wrinkled as heck. I tried ironing - that didn't work. Then I tried starch - nope. I had people over, and the guest tried to straighten out the mess the entire visit. I was so embarrassed. For the money that was spent, these were not of any value.
These are well-made linen placemats as are the napkins at a good price. Of course they’re thin and of course they will require pressing after washing; they’re linen, not polyester. I ordered three sets of placemats and three of napkins - 12 place settings in total. unfortunately, our order has been split into two deliveries. Three boxes of napkins and one box of napkins arrived yesterday; the remaining two boxes of napkins will arrive today. Two of the three napkin boxes had labeling designs different from the third. Unfortunately, they were darker than the the placemats from the third box. The napkins matched the third box. I will unfortunately have to return the products.
These are beautiful linen placemats that look wonderful on a table. A color of blue that enables a lot of different fabric napkins options to change the theme of your overall setting theme.They arrive in nice packaging and are almost immediately usable. I’d attuned to details may want to run an iron across them.Heavy enough to stay in place yet classy and light enough to carry a classy place setting.Will order the other two colors that I was looking at.
