Love it! Sharp, It's a little tricky to sharpen due to type of metal and the proper angle required but a good quality whetstone and my years of experience with sharpening knives works in my favor. Make sure you keep it in the case and hand wash. Never put it in the dishwasher or throw it in the sink if you want it to keep it's edge long term.

Great feel and look. I love the look of Damascus steel. And it's Japanese steel as well.Straight cuts because blade is so sturdy. And sharp enough to slide through hard and soft fat or fibers.The angle bolster did pose a slight concern on weight of knife pulling down and twisting knife off magnetic wall strip. But it looks great on my wooden magnetic vertical knife block.I do recommend this knife for breakdown of bulk meats.
