Considering the price, it is a pretty good value

Who isn't impressed by the design on the Damascus steel style blades? Very nice looking. The ABS handle quickly gives it away that this is not a high end knife. But, then again, the price is significantly less than a higher end knife. That handle is just funky, I don't know any way to truly explain it. It is not the most comfortable, but if you aren't working with it for hours on end, it shouldn't cause problems in your hand. I use a pinch grip with my thumb on both the end of the handle and the beginning of the exposed blade. For that grip, this is pretty comfortable.Using an edge tester, the BESS score for this is 110. To give an idea of how sharp that is, their scale shows a utility razor blade at 150 to 200. They have most high end knives at 250 to 350. So, initially this is really sharp. It should hold this edge for a reasonably long time. They do not give the Rockwell hardness score for this blade, but do say it is made from 8Cr steel. Scanning the internet that is probably 8Cr13MoV which is a good metal for knife enthusiasts or collectors who are just getting started. They state it has 67 layers of steel. That means 33 layers per side, and the center core is number 67. It is also fairly light. I measured mine at 208.7 grams, or about 7.36 ounces.For the price, I can easily recommend this for someone who wants a better than decent quality knife for home work.

I bought these to replace some steak knives. I've had terrible luck with steak knives so I decided to get some knives I knew would cut the mustard. 😂After reading the reviews, I bought a pair of these, a pair of competitors, and another set of steak knives.The other set of steak knives were returned immediately.
