Beautiful piece of Cutlery

A beautifully made piece of cutlery. Heavy forged blade with razor-sharp edge. Once you get the knack of the rocking motion, it makes fast work of dicing and chopping. If I wanted anything changed it would be the wooden holder. I don't find it substantial enough to keep the knife secure sitting on the counter.

Excellent quality materials. Sharp as sharp can get.

This feels incredible when holding it. It's made of quality materials. And it's a joy to use it. Every time I cut something I feel I'm holding a blade made by the Gods.

Beautiful craftsmanship

Bought for my fiancé after he saw it on a tv show. It is so beautifully crafted. He wanted one to slice meat with but it’s such a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship he doesn’t want to use it now, just brags about it.

Probably makes for a good pizza cutter

Not your typical all-purpose utility knife. Certainly not a typical ULU type knife used for scrapping. I've used it in the kitchen much like a chef knife and found it does what it was designed for. The blade is Damascus, but suspect it's low quality or dare to say, fake. The shape is typical and not unique in that matter. Out of the box, it wasn't the sharpest, no pun, knife in the toolbox. Because of the Damascus, I will have to figure out just how to sharpen it without causing damage. The handle? It's a good addition and reason why I rate this higher. Mine came with a light oil and I had to make sure it was washed properly and wasn't going to rust. Again, not knowing the blade's tempering or Damascus quality. I'm not sure how, if used as a kitchen chopper, how it will handle acidic materials. Which makes pizza, if used for that, will be questionable. Overall? A pretty good cutter or chopper to have just in case you are not wanting to use a chef knife. The size limits its use, but not that critical. Anything other than for use in a kitchen environment, or in my case, a camper cutter/chopper, will be seriously doubtful. Wouldn't avoid if that's what you are thinking. It will work, but for what it was meant for.

Very nice for the price!

I like it!This knife was a pleasant surprise at this price!I use it to chop salad greens. The leather case is a nice; the strap closure seemed a bit snug and will loosen with use.I ordered a wood cutting board with a bowl shape cut into it to fit the knife.I like it far better for cutting greens than a straight knife. One can spend a lot more on one of these knives. I take good care of knife and think its special. Its my first knife of this type.😊Thank you!

Better as a novelty rather than a working knife?

The knife has an acceptable finish but really needs to be sharpened before use. I have my doubts it’s Damascus steel even though it’s layered. It should have hard and milder steel layers. I do like the leather sheath.
