Rolled Edge Blades and Questionable Handles

My husband, a knife enthusiast, and I recently ordered this 5-piece Damascus steel knife set. While he confirms the knives are indeed quite sharp, we've noticed some concerning issues. After just the first use, the cutting edge of some of the blades are already showing signs of curling (Burr edge). He also expressed concerns about the quality of the Damascus steel welding. Additionally, the handles, advertised as Pakkawood, appear to be made of resin rather than real wood. At the original price of $95, we felt this set was significantly overpriced given these flaws. However, I see the price has since been reduced, which makes it a more reasonable option. Overall, if it were priced lower, this set could be a decent choice for someone looking for sharp knives. But at the original price point, we definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Incredibly beautiful knife set

The timing on finding these knives was perfect for me. I'm going through a divorce, and my soon-to-be-ex husband had just packed up his knives and made off with them.Lo and behold, the very next day I came across this knife set. SCORE! I am delighted to announce that it is a very high quality knife set with super sharp edges (be careful). It fits perfectly in my existing bamboo knife holder. It looks beautiful, from the Damascus steel ripples to the lovely Pakkawood grain. Great solid knives, well made

I ordered this knife set to replace a decades old plastic handled set that came with my knife block. The knives come in an elegant storage box and are very pretty. The weight of the knives if great and the handle to blade construction is very solid. The blades go through the entire length of the handle. The balance on the knives for cutting is great. WOW!!! Excellent Knives!!!

These knives are work horses. They are so razor sharp, they cut through foods with NO effort. They are extremely made. These are full tang knives - there are no weak areas. The wood handles are not only gorgeous, but well weighted and comfortable to hold. This set has a knife for every possible cutting task. Just be careful with these. As I was mincing garlic, I sliced right through one of my fingernails. And I was mincing slowly, trying to be very careful. Luckily it was a nail and not my finger. Excellent knives, beautiful set, great value!!!
