Great item fit my knifes prefect
The canvas is really heavy and durable. Stitching isn't bad in that it is straight and not pulling out. The only drawback is how narrow and short some of the pockets are. You can poke a normal length chef knife in there, but forget about large cleavers and longer Japanese slicers. It helps secure most of my knives for transport to and from my home sharpening system.
This thick canvas roll is perfect for the essential knives I use day to day- a chef's knife, a slicer, and a couple of paring knives. When it's rolled up and tied, it fits neatly in a drawer. Because the top edge folds down over the knives, rolled up it is only as long as your longest knife, so it doesn't require a lot of space. I'm not a professional chef but I do cook every day and I like to use good quality knives. I keep them sharp. I used to leave my knives out for everyone to use, but guests and the other adults in the household are not as careful and were leaving the knives in the sink after using them, including a Japanese carbon steel knife that rusts, or even putting them in dishwasher, and never sharpening them. So now I have my own stash that is always clean, sharp, and ready for action!
I don’t like carrying knife bags because I still need another bag to put my jacket, water bottle, etc in. Got this so I can throw in my backpack and works great for that purpose.
Pros: its what I wanted, I like the material and that it isn't bulky, the color is also a plus.Cons: I already stabbed a whole through the case with one of my knifes (I've been having it for 2 months now) The sturdiness of the wrap and possibly the construction could use some adjusting. Besides that I still use it, it does the job. (I'm a chef btw)- DylinCheck out my partners Youtube for future full reviews on Our Amazon Purchases (Apocalyptic Hippies)
This was a Christmas present for my husband last year for his expensive knives. He loves us and it does keep our knives free of dust in rust and it’s easy all you gotta do is just roll it up and go.
