Not the same product.

I've used Dexter Russell knives for years, and although they are relatively inexpensive and utilitarian, I have enjoyed their durability and blade quality. All other Dexter Russell knives that I own were made in Japan or use japanese steel as indicated on the blade. This green handled chef knife indicates china, and the blade quality is not the same, the handle is also different. It's more square and block like, not contoured and ergonomic as the others. The weight is also missing from the knife, as the blade ends at the handle rather than running through the handle. All in all, the knife works however this is definitely a different product than my original Dexter Russell high carbon steel chefs knife, don't buy this one, and expect the same product quality.
