Awesome Knife

Bought this as a gift for my little brother, as he just recently became a line cook and requested a knife. It arrived way faster than I expected (given that it was the holiday season and being shipped to Alaska), the package came in wonderful condition, and the blade was tucked into a thin plastic sheath and wrapped like crazy with brown packaging paper. It was sharp right out of the package and he said it cut wonderfully. Prep was a breeze, he was able to do various cuts with no issues, it was just awesome for him. I will try to come back after a month or two of use and update the review.

easy to hold in the hand

I've had this knife now for over six months. I use to make at least two meals a day, and I've only needed to sharpen it once. It is very sharp, easy to hold in the hand, and has great balance.

Nice sharp knife

It is just fun to cut meat or vegetables with this knife. It has a nice handle and a good balance. Do not put it into the dishwasher! (That is generally true for any sharp knife made of steel - don't mention ceramics when I'm nearby ;))

Knife made in Japan, not in the USA. ...

Knife made in Japan , not in the USA . The top was bent when it arrived. Kept the knife, I would say it is average for sharpness and ease of use.
