Durable, strong mat

I’m surprised by this mat and how much I like it. I decided to use mine as a floor mat by a door that my dogs use a lot, since traditional mats move around too much. This one stays in place because of the rug holder underneath and it can also be wiped off easily. My dogs would sometimes chew fabric mats— this isn’t attractive to them to destroy.It’s raised a bit, but I’m not tripping on it any more than a flatter mat. It looks modern and goes with any decor, another bonus. The box says not to drench it in water constantly, but I think that has more to do with using it as a dish drainer, another option for its use.It’s a little small for a floor mat, but makes a good stepping stone for the threshold, if you want something for that initial step in the door. The only thing I don’t love is the space between the sections. That will collect rocks, sand and debris. I think it’s pretty durable. I’m hoping it will last a lot longer than a fabric rug that would stain easily.

Very Effective, Sleek

This QDOJC Diatomaceous Earth dish drying mat in Grey is a really smart purchase -- the smooth stone-like surface with rolling and folding capabilities that allow for quick and compact storage make this a quality item. The stone faces are cool to the touch, are very thick and sturdy, and are attached well to the plastic material underneath. It comes with a Grey microfiber towel to assist with the extra moisture. The material this item is made with allows for moisture to be pulled away from the dishes, provides an antimicrobial effect, and looks visually appealing when on my countertop.I really liked the quality manufacturing of this product, but did see a slight visual blemish in the plastic which caused a stone panel to be misaligned. Overall, this blemish was not enough to reduce the great rating of this product, as it performs as described.I would not recommend putting fragile dishes on this product such as thin glass or fine China due to the potential for dish breakage, but it works well for mugs, plates, and other hardy materials. The panels are a hard stone-like material, so prepare accordingly.I can comfortably fit five or six large plates, a couple of mugs, and silverware, so this product should fulfill daily needs for dish duties.This item also comes with an anti-slip mat as well as a few sanding papers to resurface the stones as needed.

Not Bad - Stains Easy

We had a similar styled drying mat but needed a second one just to give us more space so when I saw this one I grabbed it. For the most part we are happy with this mat, it does the job as expected and looks pretty good - until it gets stained. This seems to be the one issue that we face with these stone type mats, they tend to stain with food stuff, liquids, and even to some extent water. They do include sand paper to help clean up the surface however we have found that it only works so well and for some stains, not at all. The one thing that does tend to stain fairly badly is coffee which I found out personally - I simply rinse my cup between uses and then leave it on the mat and now have coffee stains all over it but that's ok for us but might be a problem for some people.
