The product arrives flat-packed, and the instructions are clear. One important point: do not over-tighten the screws. Acrylic is a durable material but can crack or strip if too much pressure is applied. A gentle, firm tightening is all that is needed.Another step worth noting is the removal of the protective film. The instructions suggest using a sharp tool to slice the film, but I strongly recommend against this—it can easily scratch the acrylic permanently. Instead, a small length of duct tape works beautifully. Cut a 2–4 inch strip, apply half to a corner of the film, press firmly to create a strong bond, and use the exposed sticky end as a pull-tab to lift the film cleanly away. good for other upright storage
This is a perfect holder for cork trivets which are always all over my kitchen and never have found a good place to store them. It's a bit wider then needed but with it being plexi/clear its not visually annoying. So my rating is based on the durability of the item and how well it's working for my needs, not so much for how it works for plates. Removing the protective layer on from the side pieces was atrocious. It came off in 1 large piece but trying to pry up the corner to get a grip required me to scratch at it with a sharp item.
