This is a wonderful solution for knife storage. It is sturdy, holds MANY knives, turns easily and smoothly, heavy (no tipping), keeps knives only a turn away, beautiful on the counter. Knives are an essential tool in every kitchen, keeping them handy speeds food preparation. I am still amazed at the number of knives it holds.
This was a great option for my knife collection, didn't want to install a magnetic strip on the wall and the wooden ones took up too much space and didn't have enough slots. The side magnets are strong and there have been no issues with knives slipping. Works with scissors also and I can fit quite a few knives in the center holder.
WOW!! I ordered 2 of these (lots of knives). I received these yesterday, and to say that the quality is impressive is an understatement.It is VERY solid, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing to the appearance and feel. Very smooth wood and high quality. The mechanism to spin it is a nice ball bearing.The overall appearance, function, and build....pay the $40, lol, this item is very much worth the price.
What a beautiful and compact way to store all of our kitchen knives! It replaces a wooden knife block that held less, took ip more counter space, and wasn’t nearly as visually appealing. It holds seven large kitchen knives, a carving knife and fork and our kitchen shears.
This is a highly functional, though small-ish, rotating magnetic knife block with a kooshy middle that allows for flexible additional storage.You simply unpack the block and it's all ready to go. However, Acacia tends to have a funky odor when first unpackaged, so it needs a through cleaning and drying before you can get it up and running. The only other issue I have is that the magnets centered on each side man's that really only one knife can be placed per side - that's just four knives. Finally the price is a bit too high, IMHO, so see if you can get it on a deal. YMMV.After these issues, it's all uphill from here. The woodgrain is beautiful, it has a reasonable weight to keep it upright without being too heavy. The magnets effectively hold some of my more unique knives that I'd like people to see, therefore I use it as a supplement to my regular, large block. Finally, the kooshy inside allows me to place some extra cutlery in a convenient place.
Very pleased with this magnetic knife block! Knives hold well on sides. Rotates very smoothly, and very stable (no tipping over). Brushy insert thingy very cool! As someone mentioned, initial strong odor from wood when first unpacked. Just let it sit a day or two before using. All good! Fit 2 knives per side, and more in middle. If you have A LOT of knives, you may want something larger. Oh, and it looks great on my counter!
Good design for space saving. Magnets are strong and I haven't had any issues with instability.
