Saved my forearms
I have a bad tendency to burn my upper forearm when reaching into the oven. It finally occurred to me that they might make gloves that come up over the forearms. I did some research and picked these. These are great! No more burns. Also, these are sturdy, heavy duty and will, I'm sure, prove very durable. Great product.One point, though. I am a woman and I have fairly large hands compared to most women I know. My forearm is about 9 inches and my hand is about 6 1/2 inches long (base of palm to end of longest finger) and 3 inches wide at the palm. These gloves are huge on my hands. So if you're a woman with regular size or small hands, try a different product. I have to be careful to get a good hold of whatever I'm trying to pick up because of all the excess fabric around my hands so I don't drop anything. I tried pulling the gloves higher, but the fabric bunched at my elbow. Tried folding it over at the top, but then the glove slipped down.Despite all that, when I use these things, I can grab and hold on fine, I just have to make sure I have a good grip despite all the excess on my hands. And I don't have to worry about my forearms getting burned any more. I considered sending these back, but they are so heavy duty and well made, that I just worked with them a bit and found that it's fine.Just be aware, if you have small hands, you may have trouble grabbing. Medium to large hands, these are fantastic!!
