First of all Customer Service is Fantastic. I was upset out of stupidity on my part, and they were so nice to me. This product really help me make 8 loads of sourdough bread. It did prevent the climbing. Can't recommend this enough.
This shield works great! If you have a big batch of dough this keeps it from climbing up the dough hook and making a mess of the attachment area. It was very easy to install, fits well and comes off easy for cleaning. Make sure you order the correct one for your stand mixer. It is in the description.
It kept the dough in the bowl and off of the spindle of the mixer, I love it and would buy 3 more times if I needed but it works so well I don’t need another

Amazing! I read many, mixed reviews, but with my Kitchenaid classic mixer’s dough hook, it is easy to put on, and to remove after it beats up my dough for me. I loathe the dreaded “dough creep” that seems to happen with sticky dough. I’m not sure what other users were talking about, as I was able to easily apply it to the hook and after using it found it easy to remove.
