Love! Very easy to use.

So you don't have to scoure through all the reviews, here's my takeaway and since directions are a bit laking, those too.We keep a cold house when not home and at night so my starter was struggling and this absolutely helped; even used it for proofing when I was home to speed up the process. The pad won't feel hot to the touch it is set lower then or body temp but one cold morning I felt the heat radiating from it when I picked up the cover, so it does work. My starter flourished and my proofing time was shorten. Temperature is not a true set temp but fluxates a tiny bit. The heater will turn on and once at temp will turn for a bit and then turn back on top keep it maintained without going over. The temps goes from 65-140 and the timer up to 23 hours. The cover is an insulated and can be pushed inward to get more height if needed. I have used it with a 12" Pyrex and 7in tall mason jar. Easy to store easy to wipe down.To set temp/timer click the on/off button once until the screen flashes for the edit mode. You will use the on/off to toggle between the temp and timer settings and use the +/- buttons for desired #. Once all set just wait, after a few sec it will stop flashing and your temp/timer are now set. To adjust it, just push on/off button again to go back onto edit mode.Timer function i haven't used yet. It can be set for 23hrs and i assume it would turn off at desired set time length. I read on another review that it will stay on for 21hrs without shutting off so that's what I went with and didn't bother setting the timer.

Game Changer in my sourdough world!!

This warming mat upped my sourdough game 1000% We keep our house fairly cool in the winter months, so I was having issues with a decent ferment and rise for my sourdough...but no more. When it is time to feed my sourdough, i take it out of the fridge and feed it, then put it on the mat for a few hours. I have never had such good results. I couldn't be happier. You can set the heat to what you want, not sure of the range, but I use something around 80 to 86 I believe and it works great and it was less expensive than buying a couple of homemade sourdough loaves from our local bakery.

Heat mat is not hot when you touch it

This Matt and cover works really good,but you have to watch the temp gauge,it likes to go up to 93 degrees and stays there. I like it. The cover is good too. It’s not cheap either. I’d buy again. The mat is cool to the touch.

Great buy for the value

Great warming mat. Read the directions closely for instructions to turn on though. I had read reviews saying the controls are confusing to figure out at first and I would agree with that. Once I figured it out I didn’t have any additional problems. Also note in instructions it says you won’t be able to “feel” the warm temp of the mat since body temperature is hotter than the mat itself but if it is on a cool counter you can feel the counter get slightly warmer when on. It did work great for helping my bread to rise ( my house tends to run a bit cooler). It is not a huge mat so it’s great for one bread loaf or things of similar size but if you’re trying to do multiple batches or a large bread dough rise this won’t work the best. Actually had my dough rise and stick to the tent once when making a double batch of dough. Great value for the money though.

Ineffectual controller
