Excellent Bread Pan
True to the description, home made bread doesn't stick to the dimpled loaf pan! I used a small amount of real butter to grease it (DO NOT USE CANNED SPRAYS) The loaves just slide right out. Even cooking and easy to grab with a pot holder. I'm very happy with this purchase. I may save up to buy a second one.

Doughmakers pans are the best!
I bake my own bread regularly and this pan is the best, yes, better than stoneware! The browning is even and the pan easy to clean. I have other doughmakers pans and highly recommend them!

Wonderful even baking
I have baked banana bread for 40 years using the same recipe. I have always used glass or silicone pans. The very top center of the bread always is under done. I've adjusted the temperature, filled the pans less, used the mini loaf size... All to no avail. Who knew it was the pans? I read an article that said for sweet breads, you should use a good quality, light colored metal pan to get evenly baked bread. So I bought one. The banana bread was baked perfectly even, no undercooked center! I immediately bought a second one and also bought a square pan for brownies 😉

Why did I wait so long to buy these- don't make my mistake!
I thought about giving these pans 4 stars, only for the reason they are a bit small. I grew up believing 9x5 pan is THE standard size and thought that's what all loaf pans should be. Those old 9x5's of mine had done their time- I was grabbing a paper towel and wiping out the rust before each use (time for new pans). These (as stated) are 8.5" x 4.5"- so are a bit small, and my loafs have come out 'generous.' They stated the size, so it would be unfair of me to knock them for that. The 5 stars are warranted because they are just superior pans. They have a really good weight to them, and that 'pebbling' works as advertised. I've only made yeast breads so far in them- no sweet quick breads or cakes- and the loaves slide right out of the pan like nothing. I look at the pans after baking and think, well, I guess I should wash them, because that's what you're supposed to do, but there's not a crumb or piece of anything on the pan. Looks like I just pulled it off the shelf. The edges make for easy gripping in and out of the oven. I will definitely look to Doughmakers for any future bakeware I buy.

Not what I was hoping for…
I have two pampered chef loaf pans, they no longer make them and I really wanted two more so I could double my bread recipe and make four loaves at a time. I decided to try these in hopes they would be similar in quality. After baking bread with them I am disappointed. The loaf on the right is from the pampered chef pans, beautifully cooked and golden. The loaf on the left is the doughmaker pan, golden on top but not on the bottom.
