Exactly what I wanted

Despite the ɓrand name, which initially caused me to pass them by, these are very nice knives. Compare the full descriptionand buyer ratings in the Amazon ad with similar knives. The blades are not serrated – which means they can be resharpened easily and don't tear the meat – full tang, and locked into the handle with three rivets. Excellent balance and good feel. Blades are carbon steel, which is better than stainless; check what is used behind the meat counter at your grocery store. Only caveat is that they have to be washed by hand, and dried. The dishwasher wiĺl dull the blades and discolor the handles. Treat them right, and I expect they will last for decades.

Unacceptable

While these knives are beautiful and well packaged when they arrive, they have a major flaw. I have only had these knives a short time and it’s just 2 of us in the house using them. I have only hand washed them and dried them. Honestly we’ve only used 1 of the knives and less than a dozen times. Because of where it sits in the knife block, it’s the one my husband always reaches for. Unfortunately, the wood has shrunk and started to separate and now water is getting in between the wood. I’m very disappointed and will be seeking a refund.
