Great blades! I’d recommend!
I am very impressed with this blade assembly!! It’s ground these black beans in no time! The blades are very sharp and appear identical to the original Vitamix brand blades. I actually cut myself trying to clean something out of the bottom so be careful! They are indeed super sharp!Assembly was relatively easy. The only thing with this particular one is that you actually have to purchase the device to remove the blades separately from the blades, which is an additional $10 about, depending on who you purchase it from, but they are all pretty much the same.It doesn’t take very long to do, and it certainly worth doing an upgrade with fresh blades. Especially after using 20 year-old blades it is a quite noticeable improvement. My main bit of advice would be that you want make sure that it’s snug so that it won’t leak but don’t push it because if you over tighten it damages the rubber gasket and that is not good. You definitely don’t want to over tighten this. It does say on the Vitamix website that if you choose to do this for yourself, they can’t guarantee that it won’t leak. So there is that sweet spot between being tight enough that it won’t leak, but not so tight that you damage the gasket. You want to be very measured with the pressure that you used to tighten it.That was a bit repetitive but you get the point, it’s important. So far these have been great! I can’t really test to the longevity because I don’t know what these will be like 10 years down the road and if they’ll be to parr with but mix blades, but they are an affordable alternative and so far I’m really pleased!I received this product for free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for my honest review.

Works well!
Easy to install, very good quality, functions well as expected. Size is perfect, and so far, no leakage. It can survive for a long time. Blends fast as well.

Heavy, sturdy, looks like original
I got replacement wet and dry blades and installed the wet because I use that almost always. I haven't installed the dry blade but it looks similar to the wet blade which was easy to install. I keep it in it's ~2x2x2 inch box until I need it for making flour.

My Vitamix did not come with a dry grains blade
My Vitamix did not come with a special blade for dry grains. This will be handy to grind nuts and grains. It will keep my regular blade from wear and tear and efficiently do the hard work of grinding hard substances .

Works great, easy to use, saves me money.
This item works well, though it did take about three times as long as the included video to get the whole coriander ground down to the finished level. Additionally it took a couple lift offs and shaking to mix it up a bit, as it ground it tended to get stuck in the square corners. The blade however seems to be good sturdy quality, OEM level. It was easy to replace the existing blade with this one, and I hope to find another 32 oz pitcher in the near future to use this blade permanently with. I have been wanting to get a spice grinder as I move more and more to grinding my own spices and spice mixes, both for saving money and for fresher flavor - and this fit the bill perfectly at half the price, so good value for me.

Works, But Not Quite Right
This blade fits the container, which is the bare minimum I expect from a blade. It cuts, but not as well as the original design. Whoever made it decided to skip the small angled bend that helps keep ingredients moving. That means you’ll spend more time shaking the container like a fool to get everything blended. If you’re making almond flour and don’t want it turning into almond butter, you’ll notice the difference. For simple tasks like rice or oat flour, it’ll get the job done. Not perfect, but functional, and at a fraction of the price. Used on a Vitamix 5000.

As Seller States: Need Special Nut Wrench
***** for quality. Have not compared grinds.Use my dry blade container for grains and seeds. My current blade works but dry goods give the blade much more of a beating. Wheat berries vs kale. Been watching for deals on non-OEM blades. Saw this one and decided to try it.Bought a non-OEM blender top and had no leaking. Replaced my drive socket with a non-OEM part and that worked out great, as well. I generally like OEM parts. This blade is very similar to the OEM but not exactly. Posting some pictures and a video to show that they seem to be the same size. The new one is not as well polished. It is shiny but not smooth. There is a hole in the original that the new does not have. The hold is probably of no consequence. Very small. See photo. The seller states that we need a special wrench to remove the blade. I thought my current wrenches might work but they don't. The special wrench is on called a retainer nut wrench.Went onto the Vitamix site to see how much the wrench would cost and Vitamix basically says you disassemble the factory installed blade unit and if it leaks, that's on you. Well, of course they would say that but it did give me pause. The dry blade would send dust into the motor rather than liquid, but dust can ruin it.I am going to wait before I buy the wrench and take apart my container.
