The best and at the best price. It cooks !!!
This cooktop has a solid, heavy-duty look and the watt and temperature controls are a nice idea, but the performance is disappointing. It takes a long time to heat up, and the temperature control isn’t very precise, making it hard to cook evenly. The surface gets extremely hot around the burner, but actual cooking results are inconsistent, with hot spots that cause food to cook unevenly. It also stays hot for a long time after use, which is something to be cautious about.Overall, it may work for occasional or very basic cooking, but it doesn’t perform well enough to recommend for regular use or commercial-level expectations.
This is an excellent cooktop. It may not be cheap, but it delivers. Perfect control through temperature or wattage. The dual element helps with small or large pot. Very minimal heat outside the cooking surface. Like the boil program too.
It looked great but I didn’t need it for thanksgiving so I returned it
I have an old stove that's a little quirky. I was making a big dinner and I'm so glad I had this for backup! It heats up very quickly and holds the temp. About the only problem is that you set it by temperature and there's no conversion to Low, Medium, High so I had to look it up: Low is 200-300 degrees, Medium 300-400, and high 400+. I couldn't figure out how to dial it in exactly but I was able to get it in the range. Sizewise, I used it to make a big pot of pasta sauce and then a skillet of ground beef and it handled both with no problems. I also used a smaller pan to make oatmeal with no problems. It looks pretty cool and it's easy to store in the cabinet if needed. I like that I can take it outside when I'm grilling or smoking something and use it out there; just need to bring it in when done and it's easy to clean- wipe it down and done! Overall, I really like it; it came in handy at Thanksgiving and I can recommend it as an additional cooking surface.
This is an impressive appliance straight from the box. It has a beefy cord and plugs in to a regular 110V outlet found in all US kitchens. The cooking surface is glass and is huge. There are two heat rings so you can select the one that fits the pot diameter. The buttons for selecting the heat surface temperature (or wattage if that work for you) are real push style buttons. They are sealed so you get tactile feedback that you pushed them but the sealed nature means that the entire button surface can be wiped clean with a wet rag. There is a boil option that I used to make some grits in a smaller 8 inch pot. I used the boil option and that got the 2 cups of water fully boiling in a couple of minutes and then I switched to the temperature option at used the second lowest setting to simmer the grits until they were done. When you turn it off the display reads HOT so you know not to touch the surface, fully cooled and ready to wipe down in about 15 minutes. This is a great stove for a small apartment, rental room or a college dorm where the residents are tired of just eating microwave meals and want to cook something for real. There are two burner sizes so you can customize to the diameter of the pot being used. The glass surface could scratch easily so if you are the type of cook who likes to shake and flip the pot around to mix up the contents like the professional cooks do on TV well this might not be the best selection. Also note that there is a timer option that will shut off the cooktop after a set number of minutes, default seems to be 10 minutes and that can be increased a minute at a time by using yes, a real push button marked +. Kudos to the maker for controls that are intuitive and readily understood without the manual. When plugged in the ON button glows lightly red indicating it is powered up.
