Some times the old way is the best way

Greetings all; what can one say about a bamboo steamer, well, I will give it a shot. First-of-all, I have been using these steamers for a very long time. I have used Metal steamers and still have some. But, I find the bamboo steamer works the best. I really can't say why, I think it is something with the way the bamboo is Woven. It seems to control the steam just right. The rings are a good size, and will handle most things. I stack 3 to 4 rings, and can steam an entire meal. Great for vegetables, clams, Lobster, and many other things. You can steam every thing at once, the flavors will not affect each other. ( note that some foods cook faster than others).This set is really nice. The handles make it easy to handle the baskets. The metal support ring on each basket is great. This should add to the life of the basket. The set comes with a pot ring that allows the baskets to be used with many pots or wok. This is a high-end model, and with service you for some time. ( be sure you look in to the care of bamboo). In my humble opinion, it is a good value and worth the price.Hope that helps

Great steamer and company !

I purchased this steamer in March, and enjoyed using it for our dumplings. If far surpassed the previous steamers we had owned. However I notice after the last use I couldn’t close the lid - on closer inspection I saw that the glue had failed in the inside rim band of the lid. I reached out to this company and Chloe immediately began working and communicating and within 10 days I received a brand new steamer. What an amazing company and great job Chloe did. Looking forward to some yummy dumplings very soon!

Perfect baskets and nice dumpling makers

Got these to be an able to make my own bao buns and dumplings and I have not been disappointed. So easy to use with the ring over top of a large stew pot or shallow wok. The dumpling makers work nicely to get that pretty scallop look and the silicone mats are great too. Keeps everything from sticking. Be using these a lot.

Sturdy Steamer

Seems like a very sturdy steamer, however a couple of the tiny little nails that hold the metal band on were missing and in the bottom of the package. Unfortunately, there is no way to put them back in due to the holes being stripped out. I’m sure this product will still stand up to regular use tho.

Works well...easy to maintain

I doubt this is any better than the other, virtually identical steamers on Amazon, although the steel rings seem well designed to keep the rims intact. It steams dumplings beautifully in a large pan of boiling water. I can lift it by the silicone-coated handles with my bare hands even after it's been steaming for more than 10 minutes. I'd also note that, in addition to the reusable silicone liners, I received several disposable paper liners in the package, which work as well as the silicone ones. I'm always careful to soak the bottom for a few minutes before use, and to clean it and let it dry in a warm and (when weather permits) sunny spot afterward. Unlike a few other reviewers, I've had no difficulty cleaning or maintaining this steamer. After a couple months of use, I see no signs of mold or other deterioration.
