The BEST ceramic knife ever!!!

This is the first ceramic knife I have ever owned or used. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical seeing how highly rated this knife is on the durable scale...and yes I was totally convinced after seeing how this knife passed the one meter drop test beating out major competitors on the market. I was so impressed that I am including the very same video that convinced me to give this ceramic knife a try. Honestly, I was eager to give ceramic another try. I bought a cheap ceramic brand before and it broke within a week. This knife came neatly presented in an elegant gift box. The handle is a bright, vibrant green; the blade is white with a metallic sheen. I can attest that the blade is very sharp! I sliced through fruits and vegetables with ease. Compared to my regular set of hardened stainless steel knives, this knife seemed to cut through things easier...with no tugging. It was also more lightweight to hold. I like knowing that it will not rust or turn foods brown (especially with lettuce). That is definitely a plus! The description says the knife is impervious to oils and acids; this has not been an issue for me even with steel knives...but good to know. I think this knife performed very well for me, and it has definitely opened my eyes to the benefits of ceramic cutlery. I have read that ceramic knives stay sharper over time than stainless steel. I look forward to using it further and testing that out for myself! One other thing worth mentioning and that is that I am a member of the Green Community and couldn't help to notice that this company VegItPro makes their knives with natural materials such as wheat straw in the handle. All materials are either biodegradable or recyclable. This was the deciding factor of why I chose this company brand! I am recommending others with a similar philosophy and a sharp and healthy alternative to choose this knife. No regrets!!!

Almost perfect with osteoarthritic hands. But wath out! It's SHARP!

I do all the food prep for myself and my disabled wife. Recently, I've begun to experience osteoarthritis in my fingers, and they can hurt when used under pressure. I wanted a more ergonomic knife that was sharp enough to cut vegetables with no pressure. This knife is almost perfect for that. However, there are things you do with this knife and things that you do not do. Chopping is like magic. Just be very careful. They say this knife is as sharp as a razor. I say it is sharper. Do NOT try to peel things with it. I was getting ready to chop an onion, and decided to use it to peel the onion first rather than reaching for another knife. I typically slide a knife under the edge of the peel, press my thumb against it, and pull the peel away. This knife went through the peel and about 1/4" of my thumb in an instant. Bled like a stuck pig (it's completely healed now). So, chop - Yes, peel - NO, and keep that much less sharp steel paring knife handy for peeling and such.

Terrible do not buy

Terrible! And for the price?! NO NO NO DO NOT BUY!!At 30$ for a knife I definitely had expectations I have a cheapie ceramic knife from Walmart and it’s amazing and I thought oh I’d love a bigger one I can use for more boy was I wrong! I opened it went to cut lettuce and the blade broke off! Awful awful. I submitted for a return it will be going back!! Although not sure what they’re going to do with a broken knife it belongs in the trash. So disappointed

Tbh, not sure

So I like the heft and the ergonomics of this knife, but it doesn't seem as sharp as I thought it would be. For comparison, I purchased some steel knives recently and they cut through everything like butter. So nice. This doesn't cut through like butter. More like if it was partially frozen butter.It is a nice knife. If you aren't used to this style knife, it does take a little getting used to. I probably wouldn't buy it again. It's fine, not great.

The BEST and SHARPEST Ceramic KnifeI have only been using ceramic knives for years and this is by far the best quality for the money and has become my favorite! This Professional Ceramic Chef Knife by VegItPro arrived in a very colorful and elegant gift box with the knife nestled inside. This knife is well balanced and feel nice while using. The blade is made out of zirconia, and the blade measures 61/2 inches, which is the perfect chef knife length. It is very sharp and made cutting my vegetables and fruit very easy. With this being ceramic, cutting thru bones in meat is not advised. I love the fact, that this blade will stay sharp for years to come. I am a Vegetarian and a Health freak so this was the perfect knife for me! I am going to surprise my father and buy him one for father’s day! He spends much more time than myself in the kitchen and we all call him the chef! He is going to be in for a pleasant five star surprise!
