Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Tart Pan - Practical and Pretty
As far as tart pans go - this one is the best I've seen. I'm not actually out scouring stores for bakeware, but this one is definitely better than any I own or have used.Just look at the mirror finish - it's beautiful, frankly. Nice enough to be a serving dish, or even a decorative tray on a table. But aside from that off-label use, as a tart pan it still beats my old pans, and here's why:-- Thick stainless steel construction with a flat bottom means good, even browning on crusts and pastry-- A stainless surface with no coating that releases food, and is easy to clean - even goes in the dishwasher (not all stainless steel bakeware does).-- A folded top edge that is sturdy and smooth, not sharp like my old thin tart pans-- A smaller 8.5" base diameter (9.5" is the top edge diameter), which means the same recipe volume results in a slightly deeper tart or quiche - always a bonus for custard fillingsWith these advantages, I won't miss mine with a removable bottom.This will be my first time baking on a surface pretty enough that I actually care how it looks after I bake with it. Only because of that, I'll probably baby it by using parchment paper until I get a sense for how well the surface releases baked on food without scrubbing.Because of its impressive construction and polished appearance, this pan can go from baking to serving, to just looking nice on the counter. High Quality Stainless Steel Pan Great for Quiches

This pie pan is great! I love the solid steel construction with that beautiful mirror finish, and the classic fluted design.I used this pan tonight for baking my very first quiche. (Also my first homemade pie crust.) I think it turned out delicious, and my husband went back for a seconds!Also, the quiche did slice up smoothly without sticking to the pan. I did grease the pan a little with some cooking spray prior to adding the pie crust to it, so I am sure that probably helped.It should be noted that the rim of this pan is short, so it isn’t ideal for your deeper fruit-filled pies.But for quiches, tortes, and custard pies, this pan will work great!

The pan is a mirror-like stainless steel, and labeled as such on the bottom. The rim is folded over for a smooth edge and doesn’t catch when you run your finger on it. The size is correct.
