Easy-release silicone molds perfect for fat bombs, candy, and more
I got these to make low-carb Keto "fat bombs" which you make by melting the ingredients (nut butter, coconut oil, and Splenda), mixing them together, then pouring them into some sort of mold and cooling until they reset.I'd previously tried plastic ice-cube trays, lined muffin tins, and parchment lined pans, but could never get a good, clean release. These molds were the first thing that worked. The fat bombs released easily and, for my recipe, each well is the right size for one portion.A note on use: as with most silicone cookware, these molds are very floppy and need to be supported until whatever you put in them sets. In my case, I set the mold into a 9x13" cake pan before I spooned in the mixture and transported the whole thing to the fridge. Once the fat bombs were set, I took just peeled the finished candies out of the mold. Easy!I've washed these twice in the dishwasher and they came out great. I put them face down on the shallow third rack. I plan to try sugar free jello in these next!
