Stoke Voltaics Makes it Right-Great Product, Great Customer Service

I do not often post reviews, and rarely ever do I post a 5 star review. I am doing so because I absolutely appreciate the product offered here AND because of the amazing customer service from Stoke Voltaics. I received this product, originally, a couple years ago, based on the review of a Youtube influencer for the purposes of camping out of my SUV. The kettle performed very well on both shore power and using my jackery 500. It does draw a good portion of energy, so bear that in mind if you plan to use the kettle on a portable power system. It takes a few minutes to heat up, which is fine. If you are reheating a stew, you would not want it to burn. Once it gets hot, however, it gets very hot. Also, I since purchased the french press attachment. The company sent me, separately, the stirrer upon my order here. Moving forward to a ocuple years after purchase, however, I found that my lid would not seal directly onto the kettle. This could be due to storing the kettle in my vehicle in hot and cold temperatures, as I keep it in microcamper mode throughout most of the year. You may think this would lead me to post, probably a 3.5 star review, however, I reached out to the company to see if they could help me obtain a new lid. I planned to try to purchase the part as I was just outside warranty. They advised me that, they had since made improvements to the product and could not sell or send me a separate lid to remedy my situation. Instead, customer care sent me an entirely new kettle, stirrer, AND french press. I received the updated kettle a few days ago and it has worked wonderfully. I have been able to share lunch with my mother in her nursing home, cooking soup, making a small serving of popcorn to share, and making coffee. This leads me to my five star review, because Stoke Voltaics very obviously stands behind the product and did everything (BEYOND) to make sure this customer could still, safely, enjoy the product. I look forward to many years of continued use of my kettle, especially for camping, but also to reheat soups and warm, cozy meals with my mother.

Boils FAST, works great

Was wanting to get a portable way to boil water on the road and camping without using a 'flame or fuel' type set up. Something I could use 'in the car' as opposed to a fuel-powered jetboil system.1st one arrived and unfortunately the slide switch was very loose, sloppy and didn't feel like it engaged into any detent to set it at the correct setting. Customer service was excellent. And a return was arranged and I had a new unit within 2 days.New units slide switch had POSITIVE engagement and felt like it stopped at the correct detents for each setting.Plugged it in to home socket to boil water. Put in water and waited, Attempting to time when the water would begin to boil and then come to a rapid boil to see if it matched claims made by manufacturer. At first it didn't seem to be as fast as claimed, then I realized I didn't put lid on. At 3 min mark with slight boiling beginning I put lid on and less than 90 sec9nds later, it was a hot rolling boil. And water was HOT. Would definitely make quick work of putting together a cup of coffee or adding it to a dehydrated meal.I then tried a second time but this time I used my portable 'Jackery style' battery. Yes, it does draw quite a bit of electrical power. But the speed at which it boils water is well worth it. Plus my battery is linked to a Solar System. That is always trickle charging, so it is not that much of a concern. This thing just WORKS.It's a great compliment to any type of camping or on the road set up you have so that you can get yourself a cup of coffee or heat yourself a meal while you're on the road.Just buy it, it works

All in one device

This is a great device if you want a very portable travel ready device to make coffee with the French press attachment. Sturdy metal container that is wrapped in neoprene? that protects from the hot pot. Water boils fairly quickly. I have not used the food or popcorn setting yet. Only wish this would be slightly bigger as in holding 25 oz.

Great kettle, poor lid.

I bought this over a year ago to use at work during the winter, and it's easily one of the best purchases I've ever made. It heats up fast on eat mode, which is great for my short lunch breaks. The only real problem is the lid. It simply cannot be seated properly so it doesn't stay on. I've strained corn and vegetables without spilling, but have to hold the lid on with my free hand. Hopefully they've improved the lid by now though. It's also a bit awkward to wash since the pot can't be separated from the electrics. I usually push the sleeve down to the bottom to keep the base dry. I know it's safer and probably heats faster due to this design, but it has made me reluctant to try anything outlandish like poaching an egg or using it to heat microwavable foods. Some tips: For ramen, boil the water on drink mode then switch to eat mode while it cooks. Once the noodles soften it actually stirs itself. Pretty cool. For thick soups, baked beans , etc. you'll want to stir frequently on eat mode or you may get burnt stuff stuck to the bottom. If that happens boiling a bit of water afterwards makes it easy to remove most of the mess. I can't wash it at my workplace so I always boil some water afterwards with the lid on (insofar as possible) then let it cool before dumping.
