GREAT FOR PEOPLE WHO ONLY HAVE USE OF ONE HAND/ARM!
I got this for my uncle who has only one arm! It's very difficult for him to open cans and jars! A couple of years ago, I got him the electric automatic can opener that looks like this jar opener, but was a can opener and didn't leave sharp edges. It left the smooth edges and then the tops could be put back to use as a lid to keep in fridge if not all was used at once. He absolutely loved it! His nephew lives beside him now and he was always having to call him to have him open jars for him! My mom and I were just talking about getting him one of those things that go under the kitchen cabinets where you put the top of the jar in and it will stop at the size "V" where the jar fits in it then he turns the jar and it's supposed to open. But then a couple days after we were talking about that, I saw this on Amazon and had to get it and try it out! When my mom took it to him, he was like a kid on Christmas! He was so excited to get it! He loved it! He tried it and was again like a kid! Thought it was great and wanted to open more jars!
