This sharpener repaired knives that were dull and chipped. It has 4 stages allowing you to grind sharpen and polish all at once. It is a bit large so it can be difficult to store in your kitchen if it's small but the value of having sharp knives at all times trumps its large footprint to me. It is so easy to use, high quality and works well.
This knife sharpener did a great job at whipping my kitchen knives back into shape. The sharpeners quality materials, and sharpening ability make it an easy choice. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and the manual is understandable. It did a really nice job of putting an edge on the knives without taking too much metal off. Good value for the money.
I picked up the Psythuor 4-Stage Electric Knife Sharpener because I needed something to keep my knives sharp — I cook regularly and go through about 8 different knives, from paring to chef's knives. I've used electric sharpeners before, so I knew what to look for. The setup is straightforward, plugged it in and started using it right away. The collection tray for metal shavings is handy and keeps the counter clean. Stages 2, 3, and 4 work really well for routine maintenance — I use them almost daily and they keep my knives sharp enough for all my prep work. The 20-degree angle guide is consistent, and the non-slip base keeps it stable on the counter. For regular touch-ups between cooking sessions, this sharpener does its job nicely.The main issue is with stage 1 and the motor power. When I insert a knife, especially on the first stage, I can feel the RPMs drop, and the motor struggles a bit. I tried restoring a really dull knife and got an uneven edge in one spot because the motor bogged down during the pull. Also, the guide slots are positioned close to the body, so my larger chef's knife bumps against the edge where the bolster meets the slot — not a dealbreaker, but annoying. If you're mostly doing light maintenance and working with smaller to medium knives, this is a solid choice for the price. Just don't expect it to handle major restoration work on bigger blades.
Not much to say here other than it works really well in sharpening my knives. it is easy to use and get a sharp edge with no issues. Perfect addition to my kitchen and allows me to keep my cooking knives sharp and ready to use. Much faster and more accurate than the sharpening stick that came with my knives.
To be perfectly honest, I don’t really know what I expected with this, its price point tells the person purchasing it that it’s supposed to be top notch .But is it? What are you actually get with this thing?Do not be fooled by the photos, this is actually extremely large, I’m gonna say it’s at least a foot long and 4 inches high 4 inches deep, it’s a solid large piece of machinery.Looking at it up close there are several different grades of sharpening going from 350 diamond all the way up to a polishing level, so it’s really really nice.The only thing I’m really not wild about is the fact that the angle for sharpening is predetermined with this guide, it’s not a bad angle, but some people do prefer to do their own thing.essentially, there’s just a whole bunch of rotating grinding wheels inside of a box, and then the box is slotted with a guide to put your blade down inside, so you cannot get the edge super close to the handle sharp, so that might be a downside for some people but not really bad for a kitchen knife.The only thing I’m not sure about his longevity as there are these little pressure plates, I assume are supposed to keep your knife blade in place without scratching the edge, but it’s just made out of plastic ears, and they just look flimsy like they might break, time will tell.

This is an amazing knife sharpener. We just plugged it in and it was ready to go. It has multiple options so that you can sharpen a variety of knives to varying degrees. The sharpener itself feels sturdy and durable and we didn’t have any issues with it sliding during use. My husband sharpened even sharpened his pocket knife, after which he performed the “shave test” and it passed with flying colors. Overall this knife sharpener is easy to use and works great, we’re very happy with it.
