Compact food warmer perfect for travel!
I have to say that I actually do like this lunch box mainly because it's easy to use and let you heat up food without having to deal with coworkers or a microwave. The greatest thing is is that it's mobile and perfect for taking on a long trip in the car.It took cold tap water and in 30 minutes it was quite warm. It comes with two separate basins one's just a large metal one and the other one is a divided one similar to a bento box. It does come with the cigarette lighter adapter as well as the AC adapter and the cord has different ends so you don't accidentally plug the AC into the DC. It comes with a little clear container to keep stuff separate and it does have a silicone rubber seal. It also comes with the nice insulated lunch bag. It gets warm on the outside but not hot to the touch. It also cleans up really easily. Now the negatives: The lid on mine with the snaps requires you to really press down then snap them in and it works only 75% of the time without a lot of force. If the latches would actually latch over a little bit more design this would be five Star no doubt. The instructions lack a lot to be desired, but you can pretty much figure this out it's kind of set it and forget it. The one thing that's curious is they talk about not refrigerating it just heating things up, but I will let you decide how to best use it. Having two inserts is great but you can't use them both at the same time. It would have been nice if they made them stacking so that you could heat one at a time or have cold and hot but at this price I understand.Overall the quality is good The durability is still to be decided but I've used it about five or six times now with no problems.

LOVE THIS LUNCH BOX!!!!
IN THE BOX: Insulated carrying bag, Lunch box consisting of an electric powered base and a snap on hinge lids, 2 cooking bowls: 1 divided, the other not; a plastic lidded bowl also for cooking; 2 cords, one for a vehicle and one for the house/office; Silverware (spoon and fork)I LOVE this little lunch box! While I would love some really awesome bright colors, for colors offered on other lunch boxes, I like the black on black of this one. It looks classy and sleek. Now the features: The base is 9 3/16 x 6 1/2 x 3 9/16 inches. It contains the heating element under an aluminum "plate". This is NOT the cooking SURFACE! DO NOT put food or liquid on this part! There are two stainless steel cooking bowls. One is one large bowl and the other is divided. You cannot use them at the same time...the lid will not close...only one at a time. The undivided one is 8 9/16 x 5 7/8 x 2 1/2 inches, and holds 5 1/4 cups to close the lid without squishing any liquid out. The divided tray is overall the same measurements. The smaller well holds a little under 1 1/2 cups and the larger one a little under 2 cups. The smaller well (measuring on the bottom at widest points) is about 3 x 5, and the larger one is about 4 x 5 inches. THERE ARE NO LIDS FOR THESE. There is a lip and it allows for spillage into the neighboring well and the divider does not go to the top of the rim (see pictures). The plastic container fits nicely into the smaller well, and while you can use it for cooking, you can also use it for packing a salad, and having everything all in one container for transporting. It is 3 1/2 x 5 1/4, at widest points across the lid. When cooking with this container BE SURE TO ADD WATER TO THE AREA IT WILL OCCUPY!!! So it doesn't melt. (I purchased stainless steel containers for the purpose of cooking so I wouldn't ever make the mistake). The lid has hinge snaps on all 4 sides. Sometimes I struggle getting the lid on JUST RIGHT to snap them down, but I have accomplished this every time anyway. The lid has a silicone gasket for water-tightness. On the top it features a plastic handle for carrying, a vent hole with a silicone cover that you mash down so it opens outward to vent. I LOVE this vent, because unlike others, you don't have to remove it while cooking, so there is less likelihood of losing it. But it is easily removed for cleaning and then easily re-installed. There is also a compartment for the included fork and spoon and they are nicely made, not cheap looking, flimsy flatware. This same compartment could be used to prop your phone, too. Interestingly, I tested for water-tightness. With my divided bowl no water leaked from it when I turned it upside down. However, because of the divider and no lid it would seep into the other bowl compartment. The UNdivided container for some reason allowed leaking of liquid from the lid. If this matters to you, test yours UNPLUGGED. A word about the plug for the car: MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE VOLTAGE ON YOUR CAR! The plug and the lunch box says 12 V-24V. I have read reviews on other lunchboxes about how people didn't check and were sadly disappointed. Make sure your experience is a good one and you can thank me later because you saw my advice here. Operation is simple: Plugged in ON, Pull plug OFF. A friend said she wanted one with an on/off switch, but I felt like I might make the mistake of thinking I turned it off, but didn't. Unplugged I KNOW it is off. There is a light on the front that indicates on or off. Even so, I don't trust me paying enough attention to the light...just unplug! The plug on the lunch box is clearly marked which one goes where. This is easily cleaned! Just wipe off the outside. Soap and water for the metal bowls, the plastic container and the silverware. I've had to soak for a bit once, but it came off easily after that. Since they are stainless, you COULD use a scrubber if needed, but I think it would scratch. What I don't like about it: WHO CAN COMPLAIN!?? I will talk about the cooking in a second, but geez, the only things I could complain about (which is not reality) is that it is not solar too!! I LOVE THIS LUNCH BOX! There are no imperfections in my opinion. Oh! Here's what they could do to improve it! I could do without the insulated carrying case, I'm not sure I would ever use it, anyway. But LIDS!!! Even if they offered them separately. If they offered more bowls..AND LIDS...I could load a week's worth of food ahead of time!!!!Now the cooking: DON'T FORGET TO VENT! So to this point I have WARMED already cooked food. The food is cold when I put it in the cooking container. I have warmed soups...easy peasy. Plug in, let cook 15 minutes, give a stir, cook another 15 minutes (191.5 degrees F). Usually it is hot enough to burn your lip so be careful! I have also reheated pasta (199.7 degrees F) by adding water, more sauce or better yet, add some butter dotted around the pasta. Same directions above. Butter steak & potatoes: added a little butter and heated as above (181.7 degrees F). Mashed potatoes: add a little water and cook as above (187.7 degrees F). You are starting to see a pattern. Finished temps are in the parenthesis. If you reheat baked chicken (I don't suggest Deep fried as this will utilize steam and won't be palatable), I would add a little olive oil or butter to keep it from sticking or you could steam it by putting water in the divided container and the chicken in the other part of the divided container or use the steam off a vegetable. Restaurants use a water bath to keep food hot evenly...think like that! I have made ramen noodles in this directly from the bag, but you have to be diligent with it. It can get overcooked and I had to add more water to it b/c the noodles soaked up more than usual. ( I used 1 1/2 c water, the noodles, seasoning packet and a pat of butter). Cook 15 min, give it a stir, cook another 15 min). The temperature cannot be regulated in this so you can't really COOK in it...except the ramen. I tried making Knorr sides and you have to let the water become HOT and THEN add the noodles. A friend of mine does this in hers, but I don't like how they get mushy. These are just some ideas and some experiences. Overall, I highly recommend this lunch box. For 29.99 I think it is worth it!

Love it - Don't leave home without it
This heated lunch box is the perfect accessory for commuting or travelI regularly ride the train when I visit family. It's a 2-1/2 hour ride and if I leave after work I can simply put some leftovers into my lunch box and immediately plug it in to power after boarding the train. Literally within minutes, my dinner is warm and I am able to enjoy a meal while traveling in comfort. Love this lunch box!• First off, leak proof is super important. It's small enough to put in my backpack when I leave the house headed for the train. I absolutely need to be confident that the box will not leak and so far it has worked flawless.• Multiple power options - I typically use the AC power (available on the train) but the box includes a DC accessory adapter which I plan to use the next time I drive to go visit family.• Temperature - This box heats up fast. The exterior LED indicator allows you to easily monitor the box while on and heating.• Stainless steel - super convenient and easy to clean. It's dishwasher safe so that’s what I use most of the time• Capacity - I can only say that it will easily hold one to two portions and for me traveling solo - I have room for an entire meal.○ The set includes two stainless steel warmers - one that is a single compartment and a second one that is split into a large section for a heated food item and the second section holds a plastic food container.I put salad or slaw or cold items in the plastic container and just before plugging in the lunch box I just remove the plastic container to keep those items cold.
