Not like your Moms old twist grinders

Quality is very good. Batteries are AAA which I prefer because they can just be replaced whereas rechargeable are difficult or cannot be replaced. Capacity is enough that does not have to be constantly refilled. They look amazing and very well made with Stainless and clear window. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Great to have fresh ground salt and pepper especially if using in marinades where both hands might be slippery and cannot grip onto a conventional grinder. Beautifully boxed.Perfect for a house warming or gift.

Classy

This is a very nice salt and pepper grinder set. The stainless steel and acrylic is very attractive. It's nice that it takes AAA batteries instead of having a rechargeable battery. It runs smooth and quiet and all you have to do is press the button. It even comes with a little brush for cleaning. The LED lighting is also a very nice touch. You can actually see what you're doing. It is a little pricey, but I think this set is worth it.

Functional but lacking grinder set

So far, these salt and pepper grinders are good, functional grinders for both. One thing I've never liked about manual grinders is if you are using one hand to work with raw ingredients like meat, you have to go wash your hands to add more salt and pepper, because the grinder required both hands. As long as I only use one hand to flip/move/pat the ingredients, with these grinders I can use my clean other hand to season at the same time. However, I have some concerns already about them that keep me from giving it all 5 stars:1) they are battery powered, and need 4 AAA batteries each. That makes them quite heavy and more expensive to own. I wish I had paid attention to the fact that they aren't the type that you charge. And the combination of batteries and motor means it's very very top heavy, therefore easy to knock over.2) they seem slightly underpowered. I know my batteries are fresh, so it must be a motor thing.3) while you can choose the courseness of your grind by moving a lever from small to large, the lever turns freely in a whole circle and so you can't entirely tell if you've got it turned the right direction.4) there is not a huge difference between the biggest and smallest grind. Again, maybe this is a result of the lever being hard to pinpoint, but I would like the pepper for sure to grind smaller than seems to be allowed.Overall, it's a functional grinder set. I can't recommend it based upon the price, especially when you're supplying the batteries.

LOOKS GREAT

These grinders do their job well and look nice while doing it. The stainless steel looks makes them attractive when in use or just hanging out on your countertop. They are easy to fill and operate as well as adjusting the grind. The fact these use disposable batteries is plus for me as I prefer that to the built in rechargeable so I can just keep extra on hand and replace for immediate power versus having to wait on them to charge up. I'm not a grinder expert but these appear to be of nice quality and seem at least for home use well made and should give me a long service life.

Works great and so quiet!

I got these to replace my rechargeable electric salt and pepper grinders, which stopped charging on the charging dock. I resisted ones I would need to replace batteries in for years, but these are so much better! You don't have to deal with a finicky charging base that gets gunked up with salt and pepper and stops charging. No cables to deal with and they can stay on your table instead of being restricted to a counter with a plug available. You can easily adjust for course or fine grinding, and they grind beautifully! And if you accidentally hit the button, the action stops when you remove your finger, instead of fumbling to hit the button again to stop. And best of all, they are SO quiet! My old ones were loud and obnoxious, despite being quite expensive. These feel like good quality, and are comfortable and easy to use and fill. Comes with a brush to keep things clean, so hopefully they'll hold up for years to come!

Good grinding set but takes a lot of batteries

These are a good looking set of spice grinders. They are easy to fill, easy to use and seem to have a good battery life as of right now. I haven't had to replace batteries as of yet in them. They have an adjustable grind that is easily used and will give you what ever coarseness you are looking for. The only reason that I ding this is the fact that it takes 4 AA batteries to use. I don't mind using batteries, would prefer rechargeable, but using 4 batteries for each one is somewhat excessive and the reason for taking a star away. Otherwise an overall good set.
