Turns corns into flakes very quickly
The grinder was charged when I received it, although I let it charge for a couple of hours piror to loading it up with pepper and testing it out. The directions were adequate for anyone who have never used an electric grinder.First impressions: It's good looking grinder; the stainless, black, and glass fit well in our kitchen, which has stainless appliances and black granite counter tops. To avoid making a mess or your counter tops when not grinding salt or pepper, there's a keyed and easily removable cover.Use: Operation is simple, remove the bottom cover (or leave it on if you want to meaure out a pinch) press the power button, press and hold the button to start grinding, release the button when you've ground enough salt or pepper. I find this grinder to be much faster than the manual grinders we had been using. There's a picture of how much pepper was ground in the videos and when testing the different coarseness settings. What would have probably taken me a couple of minutes to grind manually, is ground by this grinder in <30 seconds. The coarseness adjuster is sort of like a wingnut; turn it to the right for finer salt/pepper, and to the left to increase the size. My unit came with the wingnut very tight; even loosening the wingnut to the end of the threads wouldn't change the size of pepper flakes from fine to anything else. I had loosen the wingnut and press up on the threads and wingnut to increase the mill spacing; after this, I was able to adjust the coarsensess rather easily. The mill is spring loaded; I assume mine was over tightened and from sitting after manufacturing and during shipping, it needed some help returning to the desired position.Over all impression: As someone who cooks often and uses a lot pepper, this will save me considerable time, and look good on my counter top. I've only used it a couple of times, so battery life and longevity can not be commented on. I wasn't a fan of the coarseness wingnut being over tightened during manufacturing, even though it was a simple fix. When you take something out of the box, it should just work.I gave this product 4 stars. I detracted a star for the wingnut issue and a price I feel is on the high side of economical grinders. Despite detracting a star, I thought this was a grinder which worked exceptionally well and quickly. I would considering puchasing another to have a matching set, and with 4 stars, I give this item a buy raiting.

very well made electric pepper grinder
I am in love with this thing. I did not know how easy and well these types of grinders worked. I have been using a hand mill for the longest time and decided to give these a try. The pepper grinding is adjustable so you can adjust how fine or coarse you want it which is a huge plus. It comes with a bottom cap so you are not constantly brushing old pepper pieces that fall out of the hand mills. It holds a lot of pepper corns so you do not have to keep filling them like you do with small hand mills. If you are making a large batch of anything, you can just pepper and salt by pressing a button instead of using a tired hand. I love this thing.

Waste of money! Extremely poor
Poor quality device, battery timing is extremely poor. Does not work when button is pressed once idk if its malfunctioning or the design. But it does not work when button is pressed once even when full charged.I used grinding 4-5 times during cooking and all charging was drained.Definitely not recommended, i wasted my money.
