It grinds everything smoothly
I bought this grinder for my spices and various other items, and I couldn't be happier. It’s been a pretty great tool so far! It grinds everything smoothly and has made a real difference in my kitchen. If you're looking for a reliable, hardworking grinder, this is a great choice.

A wet/dry grinder for grownups
Tl;dr — Sturdy machine at a reasonable price. No perfect, but a great option for frequent users, or for more demanding tasks that overwhelm coffee grinders. This wet/dry grinder replaces another brand I bought at an Indian grocery many years ago. That 280W machine had its limitations, but still runs fine. Its plastic cup and cover are starting to fall apart, thought, so I needed to replace it before eating too much more plastic. I chose this machine because it offered noticeably better performance than coffee grinders at a noticeably better price than commercial grinders.I use this tool at least once per meal on average, so durability and ease of use are a must. Also, making things like chutney or tahini requires a more powerful, better cooled motor that can run for longer than 30 seconds at a time. This 500W grinder does those jobs very well, and also excels at powdering spices. It is not subtle, so you don’t have a lot of control over the fineness of the grind, but that’s ok for my typical uses. I love the all metal bowl. The lid is plastic but usually far enough above the fray to avoid being eroded or damaged by the whirling contents of the bowl. Would love it even more if the lid was metal with a plastic window instead of all plastic.A downside of its efficiency is that the fine powder gets everywhere. The blade is hard to clean under, so it’s a good idea to run the machine with some water in it to make sure fugitive powder from your last batch doesn’t flavor your next batch. The cup and lid are otherwise easy to clean, and the contents do not leak out of the cup to foul the base, motor, or your countertop. The machine has interlocks to keep it from being started while the base is not secure or the lid is open, but the lid mechanism can be defeated by snapping the rear of the lid closed without latching the front of the lid. These failures can happen accidentally if you don’t quite get the hook through the slot at the front of the lid or if the plastic slot breaks apart — both of which are not hard to do — so operating safety, while good, could be improved. My main issue is that it cannot handle small (tablespoon or less) quantities of spices. They just whirl around the edge of the bowl and bounce off the blades. A smaller cup diameter, or a more conical cup geometry, or maybe just a slower motor speed setting might improve small batch performance, but until they solve the problem, I’ll just have to use the mortar and pestle for small batches. It’s a small compromise for the improved performance in other areas. One other concern, admittedly theoretical at this point, is about long term durability. I feel the motor and case will last a long time. It would be a shame if the rest of it is not as well engineered. I worry that the metal part of the cup may dent or kink, and the plastic base of the cup may crack, if the cup is dropped or subjected to crushing force. I also worry that the plastic latching and safety mechanisms in the lid will break apart from impacts or just cracking and deterioration over time. These parts should have been metal. It would be nice if the instruction manual had part numbers and contact info for replacements parts. In conclusion, one week of frequent usage shows this to be a powerful wet/dry grinder that can handle tough jobs regularly. It is relatively safe for adults and easy to use and clean. If the cup was as sturdy as the base I would have given it 5 stars. If the cup and lid last, this machine will be as superb in value as it is in performance.

Does not grind well. Do not recommend.
In good conscience, the seller reached out to give me a refund 9/15/2025. Since I know they care about the customers, I will purchase from them again if there is an item I am interested in.I just opened my grinder and I am 3 days late to return it so that means I have had it for a lil while but NOT used it. I opened it today 9/8/2025 and I am not happy with it. It does not grind evenly but not sure if that it usual. You have a motor base, middle base bowl that you put the material in to grind, and a lid. THE DIRECTIONS ARE NO HELP ON HOW TO PUT THIS TOGETHER OR HOW TO MAKE IT WORK. I put my salt in the middle base. I figured out you have to put the lid on in the front see pics 1&2 on the lip of the bowl base. Then lay down the lid to affix to the base bowl on the other side pic 3. Notice the red tab sticks up. When you begin to press DOWN the red tab will lay down pic 4 until you snap the lid into the base, notice the red tab will somewhat flip back up pic 5. Then you use the knob on the motor base to turn it on to grind. When you are done, you press the red tab down to release and remove the lid pic 6. I was not happy with the result pics 7&8. Notice in the pictures the grind quality has 3 diff sizes...silt, small pieces, and larger pieces still in the base bowl. Not happy. I kept having to take out the bigger pieces to re-grind. They give you a sifter I assume to sift the silt??? not sure bc THE DIRECTIONS DID NOT DIRECT. This took too long to do. I do not recommend unless someone can let me know if this is how a grinder works. Cleaning is easy, small contraption. Amazon sent me my review to view. But as I was looking at the pictures, i noticed they are not in the order i placed them. good luck.

Good Hefty Grinder but LOUD
I have broken about 5 smaller coffee grinders, so I decided to get this one as I no longer want to experience another grinder breaking. I grind resins, tree bark, and many other types of herbs and ingredients to make spiritual incense and herb blends for my business. So far, this grinder has done an amazing job and comes with 3 other blade replacements, so I assume I will be using this for a long time. Be aware, It is LOUD though. If it breaks anytime soon, I will come back and write about it but so far, it has done a great job. It’s decently easy to clean but I recommend cleaning it very soon after using it to prevent it from gunking up. It’s also very durable for the stuff I am grinding
