Quietly Impressive, Sleek, and Easy to Live With
I have been using this electric tea kettle daily for a while now and it has settled into my routine without any fuss, which is probably the best compliment I can give it. It heats water quickly and consistently, and it feels like one of those appliances that just does what it is supposed to do every single time. I use it mostly for tea and pour over coffee, but it also gets regular use for oatmeal and instant soups. No surprises, no learning curve, and no moments where I wonder if it is going to behave differently than it did yesterday.One of the first things I noticed is how well it pours. The spout design feels thoughtful and controlled, even when the kettle is full. There is no dribbling down the side or awkward angle required to get a steady stream. I can pour slowly for a mug or more confidently into a larger vessel without worrying about splashing or spilling. The lid opens easily and closes securely, and filling it is straightforward. The base connection feels solid, and the kettle seats properly every time without fiddling.The only thing that has given me pause is the glass itself, and even that is more curiosity than criticism. When I lightly tap the glass with something metal, it does not make the sharp ringing sound I associate with typical glass. It almost sounds a little muted or dull. At first this caught my attention and made me stop and think, but the product page lists the material as borosilicate glass. From what I understand, that type of glass is designed to handle temperature changes better and be more durable, so I assume the difference in sound has something to do with that composition. It has shown no signs of weakness, cracking, or clouding, even with frequent boiling.Visually, the kettle stays looking clean and modern on the counter. It is easy to see the water level, and the glass has held up well to regular use. If you are someone who likes to keep an eye on the water as it heats, that transparency is a nice touch.After using it consistently, I can honestly say that this is a high quality tea pot. It pours well, works exactly as expected, and feels reliable. The glass question is more of an interesting observation than a concern, and it has not affected my confidence in using it at all. I think it's kind of funny for designers to state things like "Made in California". That seems unnecessary, and takes away from the regal look. It has become one of those kitchen items I reach for without thinking, which usually means it is doing its job right. Thank you.

Fast, convenient and attractive tea kettle!!
This electric tea kettle is fantastic!.. Gone are the days of using the heating coil on the stove with the old metal kettle. This unit is all you need for tea, instant coffee, hot cocoa or anything else that requires boiling water fast.The first thing you'll notice is that this tea kettle is a very nice looking machine. The gray and copper colors give it a modern yet subtle style. It fits very well in our kitchen and matches a lot of our other cookware. It stands just under 10 inches tall sitting on its base and is around 6 inches square at the bottom. It doesn't take up much room yet holds an impressive 1 liter of liquid.This electric kettle heats up real fast. With enough warm water for two mugs of coffee, it was boiling in less than a minute. Just out of curiosity, I decided to really give it a real challenge. I used 59 degree tap water and filled it to the 1 liter max. It had the full cold liter boiling in about 6 minutes! So if you're having several guests for tea or looking to make a lot of hot chocolate for a group of kids quick, this thing has the power to have it ready fast.The temperature can be adjusted with a easy to operate control knob. The digital readout clearly shows how hot your water is currently, and what your desired target temperature is. There are different setting for various teas noted on the side for quick reference. It alerts you with an audible beep when it has reached the set temperature and if the guests haven't arrived yet, there's even a keep warm button to maintain it. I gotta admit, I even enjoyed watching the water boil through the large windows on the side too.This is a high quality unit for at a very resonable price. It's strong and well made with durable parts and materials. It's a great product overall.

This wonderful Electric Tea Kettle has a number of convenient features. The glass kettle itself is an open mouth design for easy cleaning. It's top has 3 parts. The first is the cuff which fits tightly around the mouth of the kettle, The second is the infuser with its gasket that fits into the cuff, and the third part is the lid which again fits into the infuser gasket. So, all in all, you have a tight closure to the lid. In fact, you can twist the top piece to securely lock the three pieces in place. The infuser is metal with very fine holes so that you won't have any tea residue in your cup.You have the ability to choose centigrade or Fahrenheit for your preferred temperature settings. There is a digital temperature gauge on the base showing the current temp (75) and the highest temperature you can select (212).
