A+ what I love the most is that You can return it back to it's base without a minute and it will go back to the previous heating temp. I am so proud of getting this coffee kettle. Leaks when heating more than half the max volume
I really like the features of this kettle. It’s easy to use and being able to brew tea in the kettle is nice. However, we’ve had this kettle for 4 months and it leaks anytime we heat more than half a carafe of water. I don’t know if this is an issue with all the units or just ours, but it’s something to consider before purchasing this kettle.

Great versatile kettle so far
This is a fantastic kettle for the price and design. If you like straight modern more masculine lines versus curves, you'll appreciate the design. If you're the country kitchen type, this would be a hard pass. In terms of quality, the glass feels durable. The base could be a bit heavier/sturdier but it does the job, boils water fast, and more importantly, does not get hot. The pitcher is larger than what I wanted but is actually more useful. I've used this about five times so far to boil hot water, eggs, and tea. My wife even tried making brothy soup and loves it.Just don't be like me -- read the manual. A lot of the reasons why people returned this is because they didn't read the instructions. It's pretty much idiot-proof except that for some reason, I tried to press the timer buttons which are printed on the base for easy reference instead of cycling through the (M) function button to the desired preset temperature. The auto keep-warm feature for 2h is really handy for absent-minded people like me who forget they're boiling water. You can set it to keep warm up to 24h but I'm not sure that's so safe. If you're trying to avoid plastic, the only things I would note are that the removable cover is plastic but does not touch the water when it's boiling, and at the bottom of the pitcher, the water does touch a very thin sliver of the washer (silicon? rubber?) that sits between the metallic heating element and glass. The white color is very clean and sleek but I kind of wish I had ordered black to match my other appliances.UPDATE: After reading the booklet too many times and following the very confusing instructions, we just couldn't adjust the keep-warm setting past the 2h keep-warm default. The Amazon site pointed me to their website for product support and on it is a video clip stating that keep-warm cannot be adjusted when using Setting 1 (Boil). Why would this not be in the booklet???
