Perfect size and lightweight

If you want small tongs for normal, everyday use, these are great! They feel a bit thin and delicate if you work in a restaurant or a serious kitchen, but for the price, it's expected. Nevertheless, they have held up to my normal everyday usage, and I wash them several times a week in the top rack of my dishwasher. Great value and does the job.

Useful kitchen item but Tavolo branded model no better than the generic versions

These are great to have. Less elegant but more functional than traditional serving utensils for salad, vegetables, meat etc.That said, regardless of price, they all seem to fail when the hinge pin wears and pulls through. This pair with the 'Tavolo' brand lasted less than two years. Granted these are inexpensive, but I'd pay extra for a brand that invested in a beefier rivet.

Light and sturdy but the handle could be too short to cook with

It’s easy to grip and very light yet sturdy. I’ve been using the bigger one from the same brand. It is a bit too heavy versus this mini size. You hand gets sore when you’re gripping the bigger size for too long. One downside about it is the length of the handle though. Despite the heat resistance, you might get oil splash on your hand if you cook with it.

love the colors & size, lock isn't great

The colors are good, size is useful, but the lock doesn't really work so they take up more room on the counter or container or drawer, they're not as well made as other tongs. They'll do, but I won't buy them again.

Flimsier than originals

I had ordered these based on our satisfaction with a pair of Tovolo tongs that we already have in this size. The size is good for serving tongs. Unfortunately, these are a lighter and flimsier than the one that we have, despite looking very similar. I think these are knock-offs. Original weighs 87 grams, these weigh 50 grams. Original has the name Tovolo molded into the finger grip pads, these don't have that. These also have a cheaper rivet and spring in the pivot point. You can deform the gripping tips just by squeezing the tongs tightly. In the photo, the original is on the right, this knockoff is on the left.
