Easy to use and clean
This meat slicer is a great introduction into having a slicer. I didn’t really want to spend a lot until I was sure we could use one. My first use was actually slicing some homemade sourdough bread with a too hard exterior. Definitely worked better than the electric knife while being able to get thinner, more consistent cuts. Used it to make shaved pork loin roasts for sandwiches. There’s a learning curve to figuring out how to hold what you’re slicing in order to get even cuts. Never did get it right on the shaved meat, but thicker meat slices are easier to keep consistent. It was very easy and relatively self explanatory to set up. The blade sharp and is easy to pull out to clean. The platform is meant to stay level with the blade when not in use significantly reducing the risk of accidentally cutting yourself. I’ve been very pleased so far.

Does the job well, but needs more power
I like to buy large cuts of meat and reduce them to family dinner sizes. I also like to make my own cold cuts as well as jerky. This I needed a decent food/meat slicer. This slicer is decent. It has an adjustable thickness dial, though the corresponding thickness gauge is offset and has no purpose at all. For jerky I like to cut frozen or near frozen meats. The slicer just didn't like that at all. The motor just didn't have the strength to get through anything frozen. Once defrosted a bit, the machine did the job well.Cleaning is a hassle, but is no different from any other slicer. Just get it done and move on. It works, does the job reasonably well and that's great for my purposes.

Great cheap slicer
This is not a heavy duty meat slicer. You're going to have issues cutting some rock hard salami or frozen meats. However, that being said, this is great for slicing most meats. I'm using it to slice leftover roasts and ham to make into lunchmeat. It's great for that use. Because of the plastic construction, it isn't that heavy and it's easy to move around the kitchen. Disassembly for cleaning is pretty easy and it doesn't take up that much counter space.Meat is sliced pretty consistently and you can adjust the thickness of cut. This is great for light-duty use. My kitchen isn't a deli, so I found this perfect for the occasional leftover roast or gifted summer sausage. Highly recommended if you're not intending this to be an integral part of your kitchen.

Have used it for six months now. I would definitely recommend.
Works fantastic. I’ve sliced cheese, ham, roast beef. Any lunch meat or block of cheese works fantastic. It cleans up easy.

Get what you pay for
Bought it because it was cheap, but really should have spent a little more. It works and it will cut meat, but it's really hard to clean. The cut depth knob is almost worthless, it will change the depth but it turns without moving so you don't really know how deep it's cutting based on the knob, so if you wanted to cut 3MM and then change it to 5 MM and back to 3MM, it's not going to be the same as the knob will just spin and not change the depth. The blade is okay but doesn't stay sharp very long. I've cut probably 6-8 bottom round beef and it's dull now.

Cheap/inefficient
The only reason I am even giving a 1 star is because it is a meat cutter and it does turn on. It smelled like I was overheating the plastic. Just turning it on the motor sounded like a dying engine. It was on a flat surface and was sliding all over the place as I tried to cut. I was cutting frozen meat into thin slices for hotpot and it was struggling to cut. I understand this isn't professional quality at a butcher but my goodness, I could have used my table saw and gotten more worthwhile results for the money I spent. If you aren't using s tiny peace of meat you basically have to use your hands to hold it, the holder is good for maybe a tiny block of cheese? The blade was moving so slow that I probably wouldn't have suffered any damage if I did accidentally touch it. Why make such a product unless soley advertising it to cut soft cheese and maybe bologna. Definitely not made to cut real meat or anything that doesn't melt right into the blade let alone on its own it sounded like turning the blade was too much effort for the motorMaybe I got a lemon but this was not worth it. Also not compact at all. For the size it takes up I could have just gotten a regular one but somehow it came up as a compact search easy to store.
