Bad written directions -

Update - With Amazon's help I was able to contact the seller and they told me that, in spite of their written direction, that it could be pre-heated while empty and before baking the bread. I heard back from them within the day.I bought this to bake sourdough bread. When it arrived, I read the directions. It specifically says, "Do not heat an empty Dutch Oven or covered casserole." Since every recipe I have for sourdough bread baking says to heat the covered casserole prior to baking - how is this going to work? Also, I can find no contact for this company except Amazon - does this mean it isn't a real company at all?? I have heard of Amazon undercutting the companies that sell through them and am wondering if this is an example of that practice.
