Clever teapot makes one neat cup at a time
This pretty glass teapot looked so small I sent it back believing it was the 600 ml version rather than the 800 ml ordered. The company promptly sent me the same size teapot. After placing the clear glass strainer into the top of the teapot, you add loose tea leaves, fill the strainer cup with hot water, cover the teapot with the steel lid, and let the leaves steep. When the tea is the proper color, flip a button on the teapot handle. The tea leaves immediately fall to the bottom of the strainer cup and stay there (as if pressed in a French press), while the tea water drains into the into the base of the teapot. Then you can pour your tea into a cup and/or repeat the process if you want to make more tea with the same leaves. The tea pours neatly from the tea pot. The plastic handle seems to be glued onto the pot which may be why this set requires hand washing. The wet tea leaves are pretty easy to remove from the strainer cup, and you can rinse out the remains. (If you use a metal teaspoon to clear out the leaves, you'll feel the pull of the magnet in the strainer.) A video on the product page shows how to disassemble the strainer drain if it clogs - the potential for clogging may be a reason not to use coffee grounds in the set.The design of this set is attractive, streamlined and clever. It works well and performs neatly. To me it's much easier to infuse tea leaves to your liking using this set as you can see the color of the tea as it steeps, and in that sense, I'd say it's an improvement over a tea ball, tea basket or even a ceramic teapot though traditionalists may disagree. I also appreciate the use of borosilicate glass, which is relatively durable and provides a much purer taste than a ceramic teapot which could leach. It looks like tea water doesn't touch the steel lid as it's poured, though the leaves in the glass strainer contact and filter through the metal drain in the bottom of the strainer. It was just a surprise to me that you brew only about one cup of tea at a time. All in all, I think fans of steeped tea would enjoy this.

Tea steeping, spirits lifted
A novel approach at steeping tea, the Enchanti tea pot adds fun back into doing something as mundane as making tea. It’s well built and designed with a good aesthetic. In terms of everyday use, the teapot is not hard to clean and perhaps best of all, lets us easily reuse the leaves a few times over which rewards us economically. There are a few concerns however to note, not the least of which is that the little magnet sometimes gets stuck and that it quickly loses heat over time being manufactured in thin clear glass. Overall, its performance makes it worthy of recommendation and is perfect for those who don’t mind doing a little hand washing because it’s not going into the dishwasher per their instructions.

Great little teapot
love love! this tea pot is so cute and functional. The glass seems thicker and sturdy compared to others. Its really cool the way it locks and then you push down and it lets the tea go, then pour. I like how you dont have to take the tea out or lift the lid to pour. Great value for the money

Elegant but Decanter is Too Small for Practical Use
The teapot is beautiful and well-made — I really like the design and the magnetic strainer works nicely. The only drawback is the size of the decanter. The pot itself is 800ml, but the actual decanter section is much smaller. In practice, it’s too small: to get one full, decent-sized cup of tea, I have to brew and pour twice. Since I usually let the tea leaves steep for about 5 minutes each time, it ends up taking around 10 minutes just to serve a single cup. If you don’t mind smaller pours or shorter brewing cycles, it’s fine, but for me the capacity is limiting.
