I have had this block for a couple months now and use it almost daily. I love it! It is thick and solid, with no signs that it may split or warp. I've oiled it about once a month and it refreshed beautifully each time. I only wish they had more sizes to select from so I could have a matching collection - they are SO pretty, and practical!
I love this cutting board for its cool octagonal shape, fun checkerboard pattern, juice groove and overall high quality. Measures 3/4” thick and comes with 4 sturdy, adhesive rubber feet that can be applied to the groove-less side if you so choose. Looks wonderful on the kitchen counter and almost too nice to use. I’m keeping this for myself, but it would make a fun gift for anyone who enjoys cooking and appreciates a stylish cutting board. Very well priced too. Highly recommended!
I wanted a small end grain cutting board that can take some abuse and this has served that purpose. The non-slip feet that come with the cutting board is great and it feels really secure. One slipped off after a couple of months of washing, but I can easily reattach it with some glue.Also, for anyone complaining that their cutting board gets scratched up -- it's supposed to do that. If your cutting board is not getting scratched up, that means your knife edge is getting messed up. Your cutting board should be softer than your knife.Also, if your cutting board is starting to dry out, you need to season it with some food safe mineral oil. This is not specific to this cutting board, all wooden boards need to be re-seasoned.
I love this cutting board, it's actually my only one! I threw out the plastic ones. It's held up for almost a year now with no warping, discoloration, or cracks. I seal it with coconut oil every couple of weeks. One side I use for sweets/fruits. The other for onions, garlic, etcetera. It's really beautiful and I always have it out on the counter. Wish it came in more sizes! I'd buy them.
Favorite cutting board, it’s absolutely gorgeous only thing it will get scratched pretty easily so I only use it when cutting fruit or vegetables but not for my heavy duty knives & cutting.
Update! Smells horrible despite how often I clean it. I even purchased a special kit for cleaning cutting boards and it still smells bad. It also looks very cut up even though it’s not supposed to. It’s very nice looking out of the box and sturdy but after two uses it’s very cut up/ scratched up looking. I was hoping for a better quality. Waste of money
