Not sure if best for a “professional” chef but casual cooks may love

I always disclose that I am a professional chef using this knife at work, not my personal kitchen. So keep in mind for the “average user” your experience could be very different.The knife is ok. The handle can become EXTREMELY slippery (especially while preparing fatty fishes) and I often have to wipe the handle to get a grip again. The knife seems way too “thick”. I can’t explain why but it does. The tip of the knife is not pointed which is very odd. I’ve been using another ErgoChef knife for a few years the cheaper model. The knife looks pretty but it’s just lacking something. I’d love the handle to have a better grip on it most importantly. Seems to keep its edge so far.

Despite the name, and an attractive handle color, this knife is poorly designed, in my opinion. There is no widened guard at the hilt to protect the fingers, and the blade edge is quite sharp there. It is uncomfortable to hold, and easy to slip. The steel may be German, but the knife is manufactured in China. I really wanted to like this knife, but I cannot honestly recommend it.
