These work great. Distribute water well. They are not magnetic. Yeah they’re stainless and that’s why but some of them are magnetic. These are not. Just a caution if you like to use the small magnets to pull them from your filter.
increasingly impressed with Knodos' offerings. these filter pucks are much thinner, less than half the diameter of standard 1.7mm filter pucks. these use less than half the headspace of those and are 100% easier to keep clean. less headspace means less of a bite out of my target dose, which equals less difficulty dialing in shots. these protect puck integrity and help facilitate even water distribution without forcing you to pull shots with a significantly lower dose
I’ve been using the KNODOS 58mm espresso puck screens for a bit now and they’ve been solid all around. Fit is spot on for a standard 58mm portafilter, and they sit flat on the puck without shifting. Extraction stays consistent and they do a great job keeping the group head clean. Way less coffee residue after shots, which makes cleanup easier and helps keep things running smoothly. The stainless steel feels sturdy, not flimsy, and they rinse clean easily between shots.Overall, they work exactly as intended with no downsides so far. Simple, effective, and a good value for a 2-pack. Definitely staying in my daily workflow.
Puck Screens work well. I took a star off the rating because the magnet that came with the screens to remove off the portafilter doesn't work.
Sturdy, well made little screens. Very easy to clean after use, fits well into the portafilter, but comes out easily with a good tap. Does what it's designed to do, shots come out more consistently and helps prevent channeling.
A bit pricey for what they are….BUT they work and fit perfectly in my Breville Touch Impress. The group head is always clean. You’ll quickly get the hang of knocking into the knock box in a way that you won’t have to fish it out amongst all the other pucks. Happy with the purchase.
