I’ve had this Etekcity Smart Food Kitchen Scale for 2 weeks and 4 days, and I used it 3–5 times a day. Other than one issue, this is honestly the best food scale I’ve ever owned. The app is easy to use, the nutritional tracking is super helpful (calories, macros, and all), and the measurements in grams and ounces are very accurate. It made tracking food for weight loss much easier. Unfortunately, today the battery compartment started getting hot, and the battery lid began to melt, so I immediately took the batteries out and threw the batteries away for safety.That said, I liked this scale so much that I’m returning it and getting a replacement. I’m hoping this was just a defect and that the new one doesn’t have the same issue—because when it works, it’s an amazing scale!
