I laughed when I saw these. "Who the heck needs an extensible fork and spoon??" I asked, with blatant disregard for these utensils' potential for hilarity at any family event. 😂 So with that dawning realization I ordered them. The reach is sufficient to get to someone else's plate across a relatively large dining room table. Literally cannot WAIT to break these out this Thanksgiving or Christmas, and make my nephew's whole year. (P.S., they're going to be a little bigger than your sterling so you'll have to be crafty about slipping them into your place setting, but they function as expected to actually get food into your mouth.) At $5.99 the set is a good value, especially considering all the belly laughs that will ensue when you use them.

VINE PRODUCT REVIEW: I found these since I was looking for a replacement of a fork I lost. With this I got a fork AND a spoon!!! I like these even better. It is as well made as the fork I lost and I think it is slightly long (extends further) than the one I had. I actually use the spoon as a back scratcher since I can extend it to any length and it stays there (unlike most extendable back scratchers that slide back the moment you use it!). The fork is great for BBQ if you need to flip a chicken leg over without getting burned. And the spoon I guess could also be used on a BBQ to apply sauce while cooking, but I have not tried that since I strickly use it as a back scratcher. I'm sure these could have many uses that I haven't thought of yet and they are well made. I refrain from using water to wash them, I only spray them down with isopropyl alcohol to clean them just in case they could rust, due to these being foldable. I'm afraid if I use water, then moisture could get inside the folding parts and cause rust or something. They probably wouldn't but I like alcohol for cleaning and it sanitizes too. Win-win! So, these are very useful, fun to use and probably have many uses if you think about it and be creative.

A pretty crazy pair of silverware. The extension of this fork and spoon is extreme and somewhat comical. They are both perfectly normal, useful and comfortable when retracted and then extend to a crazy length. If this is what you're looking for, for some reason, then this is the product for you....

Don't rust!
This extendable silverware set came exactly as pictured. The fork and spoon are sturdy and very well made. With a bit of practice you can almost extend them like a batton. When extended they won't collapse back on themselves making it easy to steal food off your spouses plate!! I ran them through a heavy cycle/heated dry in the dishwasher and they came out with no tarnishing or rusting! I'd definitely get these again and they'd make a fun gift !

Extendable fork and spoon - gag gift.
Actually kind of funny set of fork and spoon. I definitely see this being more of a gag gift. I would probably bring it to a lunch event and pretend it's a normal fork and spoon - then it extend it out and steal some food from someone else's plate - just to be goofy and see what hilarity ensues. The material of the fork and spoon is just normal - it's not very thick or weighted. The metal is pretty lightweight.

Social distancing spoon and fork!
My kids call these utensils the social distancing spoon and fork. They are useful and dishwasher safe. When fully extended, I have to angle them in the dishwasher. I don’t think I would stick anything heavier than a hot dog on them, but they fulfill most of our needs. They are pretty entertaining, and when we have a large spread of food, these make it easier to grab food rather than uncomfortably reaching over anyone.

At dinner parties when there is lots on the table and you can't reach past whats in front of you, you need to wait for dishes to be passed around or get up and go to other end of table. Not any more.Will be pulling out my extendable fork and spoon to increase my reach. When extended, they stay in place till you want to retract them. Tested the fork and when fully extended it will give a little so piercing something that is dense doesn't always work. Expect can snatch most anything I want though.In addition to extending my reach these will make a good conversation piece.
