    If you are 60 and over, I would recommend this holder to you. I have used it cutting cabbage, tomatoes, apples, onions and even meat. I have used a fork to cut things in the past. A friend told me about the holder after she had cut her finger pretty bad. So, this thing could keep you out of the emergicenter. Easy to use and clean. I have bought a couple for my 'older' friends.     This really does make cutting fruits and vegetables a bit easier, but I find I don’t reach for it very often so kinda falls in that category of something in the drawer that works but you never think of using :(I think of I had to do a lot of something - likes maybe bulk slicing for potatoes or carrots or something I could see using it for that but then again I would probably just break out a mandolin slicer.Perhaps really the best use is camping or something where you have limited storage?Anyway, can’t fault it for any of that. It does what it advertises to do!
