Perfect for your RV stovetop (when it is not in use)
I love the size, the soft cushiony feel, and how well this works for a cover over the glass cover on the stove top of our RV range. I bought this specifically for our RV range for a few reasons:1. I worry that the hinged fold up glass top may break, be it due the bumps and such driving down the road, or just placing other items on top of it when stationary. This mat fits that bill to ease my worries! It is very large, so you can either cut it down to size, or do as I have done and roll the excess up to the back of your counter.2. Should our glass cover ever shatter, I believe that this mat will help to contain any or all of the glass shards rather than let it fly all over the place. (I've seen too many pictures from those who have had that happen to theirs.)3. This mat has a soft, rubbery feel to it, and keeps any dishes or items I place on it from sliding or such. As a result, it helps increase the very, very small counter top workspace in our little trailer.4. If ever needed for whatever project I might opt to work on, I can always move this mat to the table as needed as it's plenty long when fully laid out.5. I accidentally tested the ability of items to stay on this mat when the trailer is being moved. How? By forgetting that when we got home from our last trip I'd placed 2 bottles of wine (that we'd purchased on that trip) on top of the mat when starting to clean out the trailer. When I moved the trailer back into it's carport a couple of days later, I forgot to check for loose items inside. But, when I walked in the trailer after having moved it into the carport, which involves moving it back and forth over some rough ground, what did I find sitting on top of my stove top but those 2 bottles of wine, with not having moved AT ALL, and very thankfully NOT broken all over the place! While I wouldn't think of saying that it will keep everything on it when moving down the road, as I truly don't believe anything short of bolting things down can come close to guaranteeing that, I was still very impressed that these 2 bottles stayed upright and hadn't moved AT ALL with the bit of rough ground I was maneuvering my truck and trailer over that day. They definitely would have slid right off the glass top had the mat not been on it that day. (See attached picture of the 'after the trailer moved'... so much better than what I would have expected, as they truly could have so easily tipped and shattered everywhere! As much as I'd wish I could bring myself to test this again, but on purpose this time, I also know that I might just roll through one wrong dip in our path when maneuvering the trailer back into it's home base and have totally opposite results, which would not be a good mess to clean up. But, I still give this awesome mat the thanks for not allowing those 2 full bottles of red wine not to come to a disastrous end this time!)In conclusion, just keep this mat in mind should you have a glass cover on your RV range/stovetop and wish to make it more useable, safer space. I definitely feel it's a win for my trailer!

Great Quality Product but the "Translucent" color choice is really a milky white color
I purchased this product to protect the stainless steel top of a patio cart that I will be using outside to hold a Ninja Woodfire Grill. I originally ordered the color choice of "translucent" but was very disappointed to receive a mat that was milky white, and not really translucent at all. I was hoping some of the stainless steel metal color would be visible through the mat but it just looked milky white.I returned that "translucent" mat and ordered a replacement mat in Black, and I am now very happy with my purchase. The Ninja Woodfire Grill that sits on this mat obviously gives off heat and it weighs about 30 pounds so I needed something that was durable. Most of the other mats this large are only 1 mm thick, but at 2 mm thick, this mat is much more durable but still very flexible, which will help with clean-up. I also have several silicone pot holders and the silicone material is great to provide heat protection AND very easy clean up with warm water and dish soap.Another reason this mat is a great product choice is that the manufacturer ships it rolled up rather than folded like most of its competitors. So with this mat, there are no issues with permanent creases or the mat not laying completely flat. It really looks nice! The mat is slightly larger than the top of my cart, overhanging the edges about 1/2" on each side. It could easily be cut to the exact size, but it has nice rounded corners so I'm going to try it at the original size for now and cut it down later if the overhang is an issue. I really think the overhang will help protect the edges of the cart top from grease drips.

Covers a large area of my counter
I have mats on my counter top to protect the painted surface. This mat does a great job. The only thing is you can’t slide canisters etc. across the surface. Have to pick up and place anything I move which is ok because it helps prevent spills

I'm using this to protect my work desk from damage with all the various projects I have. It's big enough to cover most of my desk, and the silicone is resistant to heat, chemicals and is thick enough to protect the desktop from nicks and dings when I drop metal assemblies on it.It's a basic mat, and doesn't have any lip around the edges, but it's non slip and keeps things where I leave them. it's a good size and cleans up easily. There's no voids, hanging burrs or other defects and it has a very smooth matte surface, which makes it easier to work with bright lighting.I'd recommend it to protect your work surfaces from damage.
